Overview

Build the intelligence system that helps Azure Product Marketing make faster, data driven decisions. The Azure Product Marketing team needs a trusted, connected view of the business across customers, products, markets, launches, campaigns, and commercial outcomes. You will partner across product marketing, finance, business planning, sales, data engineering, data science, and marketing operations to establish a scalable intelligence platform and turn complex data into decision-ready insight.

As the Azure Product Marketing Business Insights Lead, you will set the strategy and operating model for the Azure PMM intelligence platform and lead Azure insights and analytics reporting. You will define a shared measurement framework, prioritize data products and dashboards, improve data quality and governance, and translate performance signals into recommendations that shape product marketing strategy, investments, go-to-market execution, and business reviews.

This opportunity will allow you to create a durable intelligence capability for Azure Product Marketing, deepen your expertise at the intersection of marketing strategy and data platforms, and directly influence portfolio, go-to-market, and investment decisions through actionable business insight.

Microsoft’s mission is to empower every person and every organization on the planet to achieve more. As employees we come together with a growth mindset, innovate to empower others, and collaborate to realize our shared goals. Each day we build on our values of respect, integrity, and accountability to create a culture of inclusion where everyone can thrive at work and beyond.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver the vision, roadmap, governance, and adoption strategy for the Azure PMM intelligence platform.

  • Lead Azure insights and analytics reporting, including executive scorecards, recurring business reviews, portfolio deep dives, self-service dashboards, and concise narratives that distinguish signals, implications, recommended actions, and open questions.
  • Partner with data engineering, data science, finance, business planning, sales, privacy, security, and source-system owners to integrate data, improve quality, document lineage, manage access, and establish trusted definitions.
  • Create an insight-to-action operating model that converts analysis into decisions, named owners, follow-through, and measurable learning, while reducing duplicate reporting and inconsistent metrics.
  • Lead and develop a multidisciplinary virtual or direct team, strengthen analytics fluency across PMM, and communicate complex findings clearly to both technical and non-technical senior stakeholders.
  • Work across the broader organization to understand and when applicable leverage other data assets while also sharing the PMM intelligence solutions when applicable.
  • Take a hands-on role in leading and building the Azure PMM intelligence platform.
