Fidelity Strategic Advisors Inc, Investment Trading Research Internship Programme

 

Location: Dublin

Placement Dates: June to August 2027

 

Fidelity Strategic Advisers Inc, a wholly owned subsidiary of Fidelity Investments provides investment management services to clients through Fidelity’s retail, workplace, and institutional distribution channels. For more than 30 years Strategic Advisers has specialised in the design, construction, and management of asset allocation solutions, as well as the methodologies for many of Fidelity’s investment planning tools, to help investors reach their financial goals. With over $1.5 trillion in assets under management in a blend of Fidelity and third-party investment vehicles, the Strategic Advisers team of investment professionals’ constructs and manages asset allocation portfolios for more than 4 million customer accounts.

 

An internship at Strategic Advisors offers you hands-on work experience, along with structured learning to develop your professional skills and help you prepare for your future.

 

Our Portfolio Engineering teams play a critical role in the company’s success. You will work as part of this group, supporting Strategic Advisors and the wider Fidelity organisation. The scope of this position is broad in nature, requiring versatility and excellent attention to detail. We are looking for an energetic, enthusiastic, reliable, self-driven and motivated team player who can work independently to achieve quality results with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.

 

This position requires someone who can provide high efficiency and proactive support in a professional manner, with the ability to accommodate different working styles and prioritise their own work. 

 

The Team:

In this role, you will help ensure that Fidelity protects its reputation, works to mitigate risks and ensure client outcomes. This role will provide the right candidate with an opportunity to work in a range of operational and investment functions, build strong risk management skills, and make an impact within critical and highly visible groups.

 

 

What we are looking for:

 

  • Masters or strong Bachelor’s students in a quantitative degree program such as mathematics, physics, statistics, actuarial science, electrical engineering, computer science, operations research, or economics.
  • Programming skills - familiarity with R or Python.
  • Familiarity with optimisation via coursework is an advantage.
  • Self-starter with the ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
  • Strong, clear communicator.
  • Demonstrated initiative in extracurricular activities related to financial markets.  
  • Ability to think critically, analytically, and delights in using data to make decisions.
