As Manager, Rare Diseases Franchise Global Communications, you will play an important role in supporting product communications across rare diseases, including both marketed and investigational products, with a focus on lysosomal storage disorders and support for select rare blood disorders as needed. Working closely with the Global Head of Rare Diseases Communications and cross-functional partners, you will help develop and execute communications for product, data and regulatory milestones, congresses, and unbranded disease education and awareness initiatives.

 

This Manager will sit within the Global Rare Diseases Communications team, which is responsible for the strategy and execution of global communications activities for marketed products and investigational programs across Sanofi’s Rare Diseases portfolio. The Manager will independently manage defined communications workstreams, contribute strategic recommendations and provide day-to-day support to cross-functional partners under the direction of the Global Head of Rare Diseases Communications. The position will be based in Cambridge, Massachusetts.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Manage communications activities across rare diseases, including both marketed and investigational products, with a focus on lysosomal storage disorders and support for select rare blood disorders as needed, including data and regulatory milestones, congresses, disease education and market-shaping activities.
  • Contribute to the development of comprehensive external communications plans that support Rare Diseases franchise priorities and align with global business objectives, and manage assigned activities through execution.
  • Manage the multichannel editorial calendar for global Rare Diseases franchise communications, coordinating inputs, approvals and timing across workstreams.
  • Support and oversee the development and activation of internal communications materials that support franchise priorities and promote consistent messaging across functions and geographies.
  • Partner with the in-house digital team on social media strategy, content development and internal approvals related to the Rare Diseases franchise, including product and investigational milestones.
  • Work with cross-functional partners to develop and execute thought leadership communications and platforms that support the reputation of the Rare Diseases franchise.
  • Manage day-to-day relationships with external communications agencies, providing clear direction, coordinating feedback and ensuring the timely delivery of high-quality materials.
  • Manage project timelines across multiple concurrent workstreams, anticipate risks, resolve routine issues and escalate significant concerns when appropriate.
  • Provide communications counsel and recommendations to internal stakeholders and cross-functional teams on messaging, positioning and reputational considerations, with guidance from the Global Head of Rare Diseases Communications as needed.
  • Support communications planning for emerging issues by helping assess reputational risk, align messaging and prepare appropriate stakeholder responses.

 

About You:

Basic Qualifications:

  • Five years of communications experience in the healthcare industry, preferably within the pharmaceutical or biotechnology sector.
  • Demonstrated experience developing and executing strategic communications programs across multiple channels, with an understanding of key audiences, business objectives and the regulatory and reputational considerations shaping healthcare communications.
  • Proven ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment and manage defined workstreams while collaborating effectively in a cross-functional environment.
  • Strong project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects across teams and geographies, anticipate risks and adapt to shifting priorities.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex scientific and business information into clear, audience-appropriate communications.
  • Strong relationship-building and influencing skills, with the confidence and judgment to work effectively with senior leaders and partners across functions and geographies.
  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, business administration, journalism or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Ability to travel up to 20%.

The salary range for this position is:

$105.000,00 - $151.666,66
