Job Description
Accountabilities
Market Launch & Country Operations
• Lead center-opening readiness with Medical, Quality, HR, Supply Chain, Facilities, Training, Finance and other partners; prepare centers for startup, inspections and audits.
• Implement the Indonesia operating model, including governance, escalation pathways and performance reviews; adapt global standards to local regulatory, quality and business requirements.
• Represent BioLife Operations in country discussions, align execution with Global BioLife and support local healthcare, regulatory, government and industry relationships.
• Partner with Marketing and Commercial teams on donor recruitment, retention, community engagement and sustainable growth.
Center Performance & Business Steering
• Oversee daily operations and provide hands-on support during startup, rapid growth, leadership gaps or operational challenges; serve as the primary escalation point for center leaders.
• Set country KPIs and hold Center Managers accountable for collections, donor experience, productivity, staffing, labor utilization, quality, compliance, financial targets and readiness.
• Run performance reviews with Center Managers and partners; use data to address gaps, improve donor flow and productivity, and report risks and required interventions to Global BioLife.
Quality, Medical Oversight & People
• Ensure compliance with applicable regulations, policies, SOPs and quality requirements; partner with Medical and Quality on audit readiness, quality events and corrective actions.
• Champion donor and employee safety; partner with physicians on donor eligibility, medical oversight and consistent clinical execution.
• Recruit, onboard, coach and develop operational leaders and physicians; manage performance, succession and physician workforce planning.
- Set clear performance expectations, coach and develop employees, and address performance issues promptly and in compliance with applicable labor regulations, company policies and organizational standards.
Financial Management & Network Growth
• Own country budgets, labor planning and resource allocation; monitor controllable costs and develop annual operating plans.
• Assess expansion readiness, site feasibility, investments, organizational design and support resources; turn pilot lessons into scalable standards and transition routine center management to local leaders as the network grows.
Education & Competencies (Technical and Behavioral)
Required
• Bachelor’s degree in business, healthcare administration, operations management, nursing or a related field.
• Substantial leadership experience in healthcare, plasma or blood collection, pharmaceuticals, laboratories, manufacturing or another regulated environment.
• Experience leading managers and teams and improving performance while maintaining compliance.
Preferred
• Medical or healthcare degree or diploma; experience leading physicians, nurses or other licensed clinical staff where medical and operational decisions intersect.
• Multi-site leadership; new-facility opening, startup, expansion or transformation experience; experience in developing or emerging markets.
Skills & Leadership
• Operational excellence, quality systems, process improvement and practical knowledge of regulated operations.
• Strong communication, cross-functional project leadership and ability to use operational and financial data to guide decisions.
• Strategic, adaptable and results-oriented leadership; ability to develop teams, manage change, foster collaboration and act with integrity.
Decision-making & Autonomy
Exercises significant autonomy over operational performance, staffing, quality, donor experience and regulatory compliance. Escalates strategic, legal, regulatory and material business risks appropriately.
