Summary
Apple is a place where extraordinary people gather to do their best work. Together we craft products and experiences people once couldn't have imagined, and now can't imagine living without. If you're excited by the idea of making a real impact, and joining a team where we pride ourselves on being one of the most diverse and inclusive companies in the world, a career with Apple might be your dream job!
We're looking for an experienced, hands-on leader to join the Wallet, Payments, and Commerce Partner Operations team. You'll lead a team that gets new markets, features, and partners ready to launch Apple Pay and Tap to Pay on iPhone across the Americas, including Latin America, and then runs operations after launch. You'll bring deep knowledge of digital payments and wallets, a record of developing individual contributors, and practical experience using generative AI and automation to scale partner operations.
Description
This role sits where partner management, business operations, and execution meet. You'll own operational relationships with payment networks, card issuers, and payment processors across the Americas, making sure partners operate smoothly at scale and meet high performance standards. You'll work closely with Business Development, Product, Engineering, Legal, and international business operations teams to grow Apple Pay adoption and launch Apple Wallet features that customers can't live without. You'll also bring the operations expertise to strategic initiatives.
Responsibilities
Lead, coach and develop a team of individual contributors who manage launch readiness and partner relationships
Own operational launch readiness for new markets, partners and features, through launch and the operations that follow
Build scalable processes, playbooks and documentation for launch readiness and partner operations.
Ensure partners meet Apple Pay program requirements and contractual obligations
Serve as the senior operational point of contact for partners across your markets
Lead operational reviews with partners to align on priorities and performance goals
Track partner metrics, performance and exceptions, and use the data to find ways to increase feature adoption
Analyze customer experience and support trends, such as card provisioning and payment issues, to find root causes and drive improvements with partners and internal teams
Work with Engineering and Product to solve technical problems and improve partner integrations
Turn partner and customer feedback into better workflows and product recommendations that shape the roadmap
Act as the operations subject matter expert on strategic projects and initiatives, representing operational requirements, risks and scalability from planning through execution
Use generative AI and automation to streamline operational workflows across a growing partner portfolio
Support cross-functional priorities and ad hoc internal and partner requests
Minimum Qualifications
8+ years of experience in digital wallets, payments or business operations (for example, with networks, issuers, processors, payment service providers or fintechs)
3+ years of people leadership experience, with a record of developing and scaling high-performing operations teams
Deep knowledge of the payments ecosystem, regulations, and industry standards, including tokenization, card provisioning, and contactless acceptance
Sound judgment and the ability to make decisions under pressure in fast-moving, sensitive situations
Strategic thinking combined with tactical execution, strong attention to detail, and comfort with ambiguity
Some domestic and international travel required
Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Apple Pay, Tap to Pay on iPhone, or comparable wallet and SoftPOS products, and with Latin American payments markets
Proven ability to build trusted relationships and influence without direct authority across organizations
Ability to manage multiple workstreams at once and change direction quickly as business needs shift
Strong analytical skills, with the ability to turn data into actionable insights
Ability to clearly explain technical issues to technical and business audiences, including senior leaders and large groups
Hands-on experience with AI and automation, such as LLM-powered agentic workflows or conversational AI, applied to partner onboarding and business operations initiatives
Professional proficiency in Spanish and/or Portuguese
