We're a bank a tech company would build, where your work directly shapes innovative solutions that impact millions of Canadians.

We're driven by fearless curiosity, bold innovation, and a collective of authentic people working together to redefine what's possible. Technology isn’t just part of our strategy, it is our strategy. Everything we do serves our vision and the creation of what's next.

About the Team:

As part of a leading technology organization, you will work alongside our talented team of developers, product managers and people leaders to build cutting edge tools to accelerate developer productivity across tens of thousands of software engineers and business partners. You will drive innovation at multiple levels, helping optimize business outcomes while driving towards strong technology solutions.

At Capital One, developer experience is a business priority. The Engineering 360 (E360) team reshapes how thousands of software engineers build, test and ship code. • Optimize the Inner Loop: standardize developer environments and speed up feedback loops using Dev Containers, smart PR validation workflows, and automated code review optimizations.
  • Enhance Enterprise Infrastructure: support key initiatives around GitHub ecosystem management, internal library optimization, and developer tooling efficiency at enterprise scale.
  • Lead and Innovate: partner closely with engineering leaders, product managers, and business stakeholder to turn developer friction into automated, high-impact solutions.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Work on a variety of projects focusing on full stack development, infrastructure, tooling, platform engineering, developer experience and data engineering.
  • Create and contribute to exciting new applications, developer platforms, internal tools or enterprise CI/CD systems.
  • Develop technical expertise in core tooling around containerization (Docker, Dev Containers), GitHub workflows, and modern software build systems.
  • Explore and evaluate new and emerging software tools, technologies, and practices.
  • Support building a strong engineering culture through effective communication, teamwork, collaboration, and continuous learning.
  • Work within and across engineering teams to design, develop, test, implement and support technical solutions across a full-stack of development tools and technologies.
  • Identify gaps and solve problems to completion.
  • Share your passion for staying on top of tech trends, experimenting with and learning new technologies, participating in internal & external technology communities, mentoring other members of the engineering community

Basic Qualifications:

Working at Capital One.

You’ll be empowered to take end-to-end ownership of your work and your career, backed by a high-performance, hybrid culture and holistic suite of benefits designed to support your whole self.

  • Take ownership of your own potential: Whether you’re looking to upskill, pivot into new business areas, or master your craft, you’ll have access to tools and mentorship to reach your potential and define your career trajectory.
  • Find your rhythm: We believe trust fosters the flexibility and autonomy required to balance personal needs with a focus on high performance. We support a hybrid model – with 3 days in the office per week – that gives room for both collaboration and personal commitments.
