Within this organization, the Risk Intelligence & Investigations team reviews carrier and account information to confirm that the businesses moving Amazon freight operate consistently with the records they are onboarded under. The team analyzes operational and third-party data, documents what it finds, and shares those findings with compliance, product, and legal partners.
We are looking for a Manager III, Risk to lead this team. You will manage a team of investigators and analysts, set the team's analytical priorities, own detection and case-quality mechanisms, and present findings to senior leadership and to Legal partners.
Key job responsibilities
Lead, hire, and develop a team of risk investigators and analysts. Set goals, run calibration, and coach against role guidelines.
Build and scale detection mechanisms with data science and product partners. Define quality and speed metrics and own regular reporting on them.
Monitor emerging risk typologies in freight (double brokering, cargo theft, identity misuse, reincarnated carriers) and synthesize them into leadership-ready narratives and roadmap asks.
A day in the life
A morning case review with the team on a suspected related-account cluster. A working session with data science on detection model performance. A sync with Legal partners on a case review. A WBR write-up for senior leadership.
About the team
NAST Safety and Compliance, Middle Mile Compliance team runs compliance functions covering carrier standards, insurance and credential standards, safety monitoring, and risk intelligence. We partner across other organizations to set standards and enforce policy.
Basic Qualifications

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
