Senior Manager, Integrated Insights & Strategy (IIS), Breast Cancer — Market Research & Insights Focus
Role Summary
The Senior Manager, Integrated Insights & Strategy (IIS), is a critical strategic advisor to the Breast Cancer brand teams. Reporting to the IIS Breast Cancer Lead, the Senior Manager will lead market research for the Breast Cancer portfolio and generate actionable insights that drive commercial performance, inform business decisions, and unlock growth opportunities.
As part of the Global Commercial Analytics organization, the Senior Manager will integrate market research, analytics, and commercial performance data to address critical business questions for the Breast Cancer portfolio, and will support forecasting in partnership with the IIS Director, Forecasting & Strategy. The Senior Manager will translate complex information into clear, compelling recommendations and serve as a trusted thought partner to cross-functional stakeholders.
The ideal candidate brings strong expertise in analytics and market research, exceptional business acumen, intellectual curiosity, and a demonstrated ability to influence decisions through insight-driven storytelling.

Market Research & Insight Generation (Primary)
- Lead the Breast Cancer market research agenda, identifying where primary market research is the right tool and sequencing studies to maximize business impact.
- Design and execute primary market research to inform brand and franchise decisions.
- Apply qualitative and quantitative methods to address priority business questions.
- Develop, commission, and contract research through preferred vendors.
- Synthesize research, analytics, field insights, and performance data into integrated recommendations.
- Use AI-enabled tools and emerging methods (e.g., qualitative synthesis and transcript analysis, questionnaire and discussion guide development, secondary data triangulation and reporting) to accelerate and scale insight generation.
- Evaluate and verify AI-generated outputs for accuracy, reliability, and potential bias, applying sound human judgment before insights are communicated or used in decision-making.
- Create and manage the market research budget in collaboration with alliance counterparts.
Strategic Partnership & Commercial Insights (Primary)
- Partner with commercial stakeholders to proactively identify, prioritize, and address key business questions.
- Deliver integrated insights and strategic recommendations that support brand performance and long-term growth.
- Conduct business assessments, patient journey analyses, and scenario planning to identify risks, opportunities, and performance drivers.
- Translate complex data into clear, actionable narratives for senior stakeholders, integrating new data and existing knowledge into compelling arguments that support specific recommendations.
- Support development of long-term brand and franchise strategies through evidence-based insights.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with Forecasting, Performance Analytics, Data Science, Digital, and other cross-functional teams to develop integrated recommendations.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external partners to execute learning plans and address evolving business needs.
- Contribute to capability building through knowledge sharing, innovation, and continuous improvement.
Forecasting Support (Secondary)
- Support the IIS Director, Forecasting & Strategy, in developing and communicating Breast Cancer patient-based demand forecasts, including latest-estimate cycles.
- Contribute primary market research insights to forecast assumptions, helping balance corporate goals with insights-based market opportunity.
- Support the development of forecast scenarios and risk/opportunity assessments reflecting key clinical and commercial events (e.g., data readouts, label changes, competitive entries, access dynamics) to inform brand planning and investment decisions.
- Collaborate with Finance, Commercial, Access, and Global colleagues to ensure alignment on brand opportunity and forecast assumptions.
Compliance & Governance
- Ensure all research and analytics activities comply with Pfizer's internal guidelines, as well as industry regulations and legal requirements. Collaborate with legal, compliance, and pharmacovigilance teams as needed.
- Maintain detailed records of research and forecast assumptions to ensure transparency and audit readiness.
- Ensure all primary market research projects meet compliance and Corporate SOP obligations.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree (MBA, MS, MPH, or equivalent) preferred.
- 6+ years of professional experience with a bachelor’s degree, or 5+ years with an advanced degree.
- 3+ years of experience in market research, analytics, consulting, strategic planning, commercial excellence, or related fields.
- Demonstrated success solving complex business challenges through data-driven insights.
- Deep expertise in market research, analytics, and commercial insight generation.
- Experience designing and managing qualitative and quantitative research programs.
- Ability to assess and direct vendor technical capabilities and manage risks in the analytic process.
- Understanding of the pharmaceutical drug development and commercialization process, as well as industry competitive dynamics.
- Familiarity with the legal and regulatory environment in pharmaceutical promotions and pharmaceutical industry guidelines.
- Strong strategic thinking, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to influence without authority in a matrixed environment.
- Outstanding interpersonal skills and exceptional written, verbal, and presentation skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in marketing, market research, or a related field.
- Pharmaceutical or healthcare industry experience.
- Prior oncology knowledge and experience.
Skills & Competencies
- Fluent in English (written and spoken).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and data visualization tools.
- Familiarity with AI-enabled research and analytics tools, including synthetic personas and automated insight-generation platforms.

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $124,400.00 to $207,400.00. In addition, this position is eligible for participation in Pfizer’s Global Performance Plan with a bonus target of 17.5% of the base salary and eligibility to participate in our share based long term incentive program.
