Job Description

Job Summary

The Client Consulting Manager is an individual contributor responsible for owning the holistic post-sale Client Services relationship for applicable clients and providing operational solutions in support of growing clients' business. This role acts as a trusted client advocate, proactively enabling new capabilities, managing geographic expansion, and promoting product adoption. The Client Consulting Manager partners with Account Executive teams to identify Visa products and solutions that address client operational challenges, requiring solid foundational knowledge of payments processing, professionalism, leadership, and interpersonal skills to manage relationships with a variety of internal and client stakeholders.

This position is at the forefront of Visa’s Client Success transformation, partnering closely with key Visa clients to maximize their benefits realization and value from Visa products through optimizing their performance. The role defines and deploys client support and service implementation strategies, including automated tools and capabilities to enhance the client experience and drive value for clients while supporting Visa’s strategy.

All roles require digital fluency, including the ability to work with emerging technologies such as Generative AI tools (e.g. ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot) to support everyday work.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own the holistic post-sale Client Services relationship for assigned clients, providing operational solutions to support business growth.
  • Proactively enable new client capabilities, manage geographic expansion, and promote product adoption.
  • Partner with Account Executive teams to identify Visa products and solutions that address client operational challenges.
  • Define and deploy client support and service implementation strategies, including automated tools and capabilities to enhance the client experience.
  • Build and sustain trusted client advocate status with key stakeholders by executing forward-looking Client Success Plans and tracking client-specific outcomes.
  • Oversee client implementations of new Visa products by coordinating key client and Visa teams to expedite readiness activities and maximize adoption.
  • Drive and deliver initiatives to improve client adoption of products and use of Visa’s self-service tools.
  • Establish working relationships with Client Services and cross-functional subject matter experts to resolve complex client issues and optimize performance.
  • Lead periodic operational reviews with clients and Visa stakeholders.
  • Support cross-functional initiatives to improve the client experience, incorporating automated solutions to drive efficiency and productivity.
  • Coordinate with global, regional, and in-market Client Success team members to maintain a continuous 360-degree view of the client and deliver a consistent operational relationship experience.

Visa requires at least 3 days in office, expectations of these days will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications
  • 5 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 2 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 0 years of work experience with a PhD.
  • Experience in building client relationships and creating trust-based partnerships.
  • Experience in success planning and building measurable action plans to help clients achieve business goals.
  • Experience in client engagement and clear, effective communication with clients.
  • Experience in proactively identifying and solving complex problems.
  • Experience in payments processing and continuous acquisition of technical skills relevant to the role.
  • Experience in managing relationships with internal and client stakeholders.
  • Experience in defining and deploying client support and service implementation strategies.
  • Experience in leading operational reviews and supporting cross-functional initiatives.
  • Experience in coordinating with global, regional, and in-market teams to deliver consistent operational relationship experiences.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 6 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or 4 or more years of relevant experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or up to 3 years of relevant experience with a PhD.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent; Master’s degree preferred.
  • At least 7 years of overall work experience.
  • At least 3 years of solid experience in payments, gained within a top-tier bank or the financial services practice of a top-tier consulting firm.
  • Combination of regional and global experience.
  • At least 2 years of experience in management consulting and deep consulting skills and client engagement capabilities.
  • Experience in interacting with and presenting to senior management of clients and Visa.
  • Highly analytical with advanced PowerPoint and Excel skills.
  • Superior project management skills.
  • Experience in working on business/value cases that prove ROI.
  • Experience in project management, product management, and hands-on execution.
