As a Securities & Derivatives Operations Analyst, you will lead a team responsible for processing securities and derivatives transactions for custody clients, ensuring every trade settles accurately and on time. Based within Custody Operations in Taiwan, this role sits at the center of client service delivery for custodian business, coordinating closely with trading desks, branch offices, and the Operations - Transaction Services team. You will set the standard for team performance while acting as the go-to expert for resolving complex settlement issues.
Responsibilities
- Lead a team of operations professionals to process securities and derivatives transactions originating from trading desks and branch offices.
- Coordinate daily settlement activity with the Operations - Transaction Services team to ensure accurate and timely delivery of securities and derivatives transactions.
- Design procedures and techniques that increase team productivity and ensure performance goals are consistently met or exceeded.
- Act as the first point of escalation for staff, management, and internal and external clients on settlement questions and issues.
- Identify control gaps during the settlement cycle and implement solutions that reduce risk and prevent control losses.
- Analyze transaction data to uncover control deficiencies and resolve issues by introducing improved procedures.
- Mentor new and junior team members on settlement processes and client service standards.
- Assess risk in daily decisions, escalate control issues with transparency, and hold the team accountable to compliance and ethical standards.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- 5 to 8 years of experience in a securities transactions processing role.
- Completion of the Proficiency Test for Trust Operations Personnel.
- In-depth knowledge of settlement cycle concepts and the ability to resolve settlement issues.
- Prior experience managing and leading a team.
- Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
