Job Description
The Manager, Global Brand Integrated Marketing is part of Visa’s Global Brand Integrated Marketing team and will support the development, planning, and execution of priority global brand initiatives and emerging growth platforms. This role is designed for an integrated marketer who can help translate strategic business and brand priorities into clear go-to-market plans, connected marketing workstreams, and executional roadmaps across global and regional teams.
This individual will work across strategic initiatives such as LA28 Olympics and Paralympics, while also supporting the development of emerging consumer passion platforms that create new opportunities for Visa to engage audiences through culture, experiences, and shared interests. These platforms may span areas such as sports, entertainment, music, gaming, and future cultural opportunities that advance Visa’s brand and business objectives. The role will partner closely with Global Brand (including Brand Management, Creative, Social, Consumer Product Marketing), Sponsorship, Media, Communications, B2B Marketing, Regional Marketing teams, external agencies, and other cross-functional business partners to help deliver integrated marketing programs that advance Visa’s brand and business objectives.
The ideal candidate is a highly organized, strategically minded integrated marketer who can operate across complex global programs, bring structure to evolving opportunities, and help teams move from ambition to execution. This person should be comfortable working across multiple initiatives at once, synthesizing input from diverse stakeholders, translating strategy into actionable plans, and helping drive clarity, alignment, and momentum across priority platforms.
The position will be based in Visa’s San Francisco office.
Essential Functions:
Integrated Marketing Strategy & Planning:
- Support the development of integrated marketing strategies and plans for priority global brand initiatives, ensuring work is aligned to Visa’s corporate objectives, brand strategy, audience priorities, and regional market needs.
- Partner with Global Integrated Marketing leadership and cross-functional teams to define objectives, audiences, strategic roles, key messages, activation opportunities, and measurable outcomes for major initiatives.
- Help translate strategic priorities into clear briefs, planning materials, workplans, milestones, and deliverables that enable cross-functional execution.
Strategic Initiative Development & Go-to-Market Coordination:
- Support the planning and coordination of globally led, multi-regional initiatives, including major strategic platforms such as LA28 Olympics and Paralympics.
- Help connect global strategy to regional execution by coordinating planning inputs, timelines, dependencies, and activation needs across markets and functions.
- Partner with initiative leads and cross-functional stakeholders to build clear go-to-market plans that define the role of each channel, function, region, and partner.
- Track key milestones, dependencies, risks, decision points, and open questions to support disciplined delivery across complex workstreams.
Consumer Passion Platform Development:
- Support the development and evolution of Visa's consumer passion platform portfolio, identifying opportunities to engage audiences through culture, entertainment, sports, experiences, and emerging passion areas.
- Help assess where consumer passion platforms can support Visa's brand, business, client, and audience objectives globally and regionally.
- Partner with cross-functional teams and external partners to shape strategic opportunities, activation approaches, engagement models, and integrated marketing recommendations.
- Synthesize consumer, cultural, and business insights into clear strategic implications and actionable recommendations.
- Support development of business cases, planning materials, and strategic recommendations that help leadership evaluate and prioritize future platform investments.
- Help establish measurement frameworks and success criteria to evaluate platform effectiveness, audience engagement, and business impact.
Cross-Functional Orchestration:
- Facilitate communication and alignment across Global Brand, Regional Marketing, Sponsorship, Media, Communications, B2B Marketing, Legal, Measurement, agencies, and other business partners.
- Help ensure integrated marketing programs are connected across strategy, creative, channel, regional, partner, and executional workstreams.
- Bring structure to ambiguous or evolving initiatives by clarifying objectives, roles, responsibilities, timelines, and decision-making needs.
- Support the development of leadership presentations, executive summaries, planning documents, meeting recaps, and recommendation materials.
Visa requires at least 3 days in office, expectations of these days will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
- 5 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelors Degree or at least 2 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 0 years of work experience with a PhD
Preferred Qualifications:
- 6 or more years of work experience with a Bachelors Degree or 4 or more years of relevant experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or up to 3 years of relevant experience with a PhD
- Experience supporting complex, cross-functional marketing initiatives within matrixed organizations.
- Strong understanding of integrated marketing planning across brand, creative, media, social, communications, experiential, sponsorship, digital, product marketing, and regional activation.
- Experience working on global or multi-regional marketing initiatives, ideally across major sponsorships, cultural platforms, consumer engagement programs, or emerging growth areas.
- Experience working within passion-based marketing ecosystems, sponsorships, cultural platforms, entertainment properties, or audience engagement programs is strongly preferred.
- Strong strategic thinking skills, with the ability to connect business objectives, brand strategy, audience insights, cultural trends, and executional plans.
- Excellent project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities, timelines, workstreams, and stakeholders.
- Ability to synthesize complex and data-informed performance from multiple sources into clear recommendations, action plans, and leadership-ready materials.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to create clear narratives, briefs, status updates, meeting recaps, and executive summaries.
- Collaborative working style with the ability to build trust and drive alignment across global, regional, cross-functional, and agency teams.
- Resourceful, proactive, accountable, and detail-oriented, with strong follow-through and a bias toward clarity and execution.
