DESCRIPTION:
As a Label Designer for Print On Demand (POD) Labels for FSD at Thermo Fisher Scientific, you'll contribute to ensuring effective execution of labeling processes for our products. You'll work with cross-functional teams to develop and implement efficient labeling solutions that meet quality standards and regulatory requirements. This position offers the opportunity to support continuous improvement initiatives, develop solutions, and contribute to our mission of enabling customers to make the world healthier, cleaner, and safer.

Working with advanced technology and equipment, you'll provide technical expertise in labeling design, process optimization, and problem-solving. You'll develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), validate processes, and ensure compliance with industry standards. This role combines strategic thinking with hands-on technical work, offering opportunities to enhance capabilities and support team members while contributing to projects.

REQUIREMENTS:
• Advanced Degree with no prior experience required, or Bachelor's Degree plus 2 years of experience in packaging/labeling engineering, preferably in pharmaceutical, medical device, or regulated industries, or relevant work experience directly tied to label designing and updating in the above mentioned fields.
• Preferred Fields of Study: Packaging Engineering, Label Design or related technical field
• Strong knowledge of label design and redline updates, database updates, printing technologies such as Zebra printers, and general knowledge of packaging materials and equipment
• Knowledge and familiarity of GMP requirements and regulatory compliance standards
• Experience with labeling validation and documentation (IQ/OQ/PQ)
• Proven ability to develop and maintain SOPs and technical documentation
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to handle various/different Ops requests.
• Experience with process improvement methodologies such as PPI or Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen.
• Proficiency in Loftware Cloud or CodeSoft, and relevant design software

- Experience with Microsoft SQL Database to update relevant fields when needed for label updates/changes.

- Experience with label formats such as .nibl (Nice) and .ser (Loftware spectrum) as added bonus
• Strong analytical and decision-making capabilities
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams such as IT, Labeling and Packaging SMEs, Project and Product Managers, and Quality/Regulatory.
• Basic to intermediate English language proficiency (verbal and written)
• May require occasional travel and work in production environments (GMP) when needed to support production needs or NPI deliverables across FSD.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range estimated for this position based in Minnesota is $56,200.00–$75,000.00.
