Portage, MI

2nd Shift

Sun-Thu 2pm-10:30pm

How Will You Make an Impact?:
As a Material Handler II you will pick, pack (check, scan) and ship/post orders in accordance with specific individual customer requirements within strict Quality System Regulations (QSR) and business guidelines.  You will also perform receiving functions in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures as well as a variety of miscellaneous tasks in support of business objectives.

A Day in the Life:
Process customer orders daily to meet their expectations.
Work in one or more process paths; receiving, stocking, picking, packing, or shipping.
Maintain a high level of detail at an efficient pace daily.
Majority of work tasks will be completed in a 2-8C cold room.


Education:
High school diploma or equivalent required.

Experience:

Required:

Minimum of 1 year of work experience in a medical device distribution, warehouse or supply chain setting

Preferred:

Experience with powered industrial trucks (order pickers/forklifts)
2+ years of warehouse experience handling medical or diagnostic products.

Experience with computers and scanning equipment preferred.

Experience with FDA and GDP regulations.


Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
Ability to problem-solve and identify continuous improvement opportunities independently or in a team setting.
Forklift operator’s license is preferred.
MS Office, Excel, Outlook, etc

Physical Requirements / Work Environment
Ability to stand and move about the warehouse for significant periods of time (involving walking, stooping, bending, and reaching) required.
Capable of maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail in a fast paced environment.

Desire to work as part of a team, but also able to work independently and solve problems quickly.
Ability to lift, carry, and push up to 50 lbs frequently and 80 lbs occasionally.
