The Immunodiagnostics Division (IDD) of Thermo Fisher Scientific aims to improve the management of allergy, asthma, and autoimmune diseases by providing healthcare professionals with sophisticated diagnostics technologies and clinical expertise—our key businesses: allergy, autoimmunity, and systems.

We are looking for a marketing manager with experience in marketing or product management who can help support our US product marketing team. You will primarily support our allergy product portfolio to grow widespread adoption and utilization of our products through consumers, health care providers, and laboratorians. Our business is evolving rapidly to meet a dynamic healthcare market, so we need an agile marketer who can adapt and help us re-think our strategy and deployment of our products.
A Day in the Life
Our company is an exciting place to work right now. We are making big investments in our ability to be agile within the healthcare space and need dedicated people to help grow our business. In this role, you will have the following areas of responsibility:
Product Strategy
- You will lead marketing support for the U.S. go-to-market strategy for the allergy product portfolio, driving expansion, adoption, and utilization while ensuring successful execution across the organization. You will be responsible for the pull-through and integration of marketing strategies and tactics across multiple channels.
- You will lead the launch and development of new allergy products coming to market. This includes pre-registration activities, internalization of FDA-cleared products, operations support, go-to-market approach, sales team deployment, and marketing activities to support new product growth and adoption.
- You will leverage market insights, customer needs, competitive intelligence, and testing trends to identify opportunities for portfolio growth and inform product positioning, segmentation, and differentiation strategies.
- You will develop a deep understanding of the allergy testing landscape and the needs of healthcare providers, laboratories, and other key stakeholders to identify opportunities to increase appropriate testing adoption and utilization.
- You will be the product expert and point person for allergy products to support sales, sales training, leadership, clinical and scientific affairs, operations, national accounts, and other cross-functional partners.
- You will continue to evaluate our success in the market by tracking critical metrics and data to evolve our approach. You will be accountable for continuously communicating with leadership on strategic decisions, opportunities, and initiatives to support our yearly target metrics.
Sales Enablement
- You will be in a position to be very influential with our sales teams. You will be their go-to person in the department to support sales enablement activities related to your assigned allergy portfolio.
- You will routinely interact with the sales team to gain customer perspective and insights. You will combine market data, voice-of-customer insights, and field intelligence to work with learning and development and sales leadership to shape our direction and future resource development.
- You will develop and implement high-value sales initiatives to grow your allergy product lines. This will include target analysis, customer and market segmentation, opportunity identification, competitive positioning, and distribution through sales platforms to achieve established goals.
- You will translate product, clinical, and market insights into compelling value propositions, messaging, and tools that enable the sales organization to effectively communicate the value of allergy testing to customers.
Message Amplification
- You will conceptualize, gain internal support, and implement digital initiatives and campaigns in support of our allergy products. This will require the ability to influence without authority and lead cross-functional teams to effectively project manage your initiatives. Collaboration with agencies, content creators, marketing technology, digital teams, clinical and scientific affairs, and global product teams is crucial.
- You will develop integrated marketing programs designed to increase awareness, adoption, and utilization of allergy testing among priority audiences, including healthcare providers and laboratorians, while supporting broader market-development initiatives as appropriate.
- You will be responsible for building cohesive product marketing strategies including digital marketing, campaigns, conferences, email marketing, webinars, live events, and non-traditional channels. You will be tasked with thinking creatively about new and innovative ways to amplify our allergy product message and educate healthcare providers, laboratorians, and other relevant stakeholders about our products and the value of allergy testing.
- You will evaluate campaign and program performance using defined metrics and market feedback, applying learnings to optimize future marketing investments and improve commercial impact.
Keys to Success
Education
- Bachelor's Degree required—preferred education in an area such as business, marketing, or science.
Experience
- Successful track record in marketing, product management, business development, or similar roles.
- Experience with multi-channel market-based campaigns including messaging, programs, and tactics to drive awareness, adoption, and utilization.
- Experience in the healthcare industry, diagnostics, biotechnology, medical device, sales, pharmaceutical industry, or similar environments.
- Ability to facilitate market research and conduct analysis on market segments, customer needs, market trends, growth rates, competitive dynamics, business trends, and expansion opportunities to identify optimal areas of strategic focus.

- Ability to understand customer, market, and organizational needs and translate them into effective marketing strategies, programs, and materials.
- Ability to analyze and report on the effectiveness of strategies, tactics, programs, and materials through defined metrics and dashboards and adjust tactical plans to increase success.

Physical Requirements / Work Environment
- Employee must be able to support and work in a virtual work environment. This will require most of the workday spent at a computer or talking on the phone.
- Ability and willingness to travel up to 20% domestically including occasional weekends and international travel. Must be able to travel by various forms of transportation, most frequently car and airplane. May require long periods of time sitting while traveling.

Compensation and Benefits
The salary range estimated for this position based in Michigan is $104,200.00–$150,000.00.This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy.
