About the role
Original posting provided by amazon
The Sr Revenue Strategy Business Development Manager owns the revenue strategy and deal diligence process for creator partnerships, driving deal economics from early evaluation through greenlight. This role synthesizes brand demand signals, seller feedback, and market intelligence to inform pipeline strategy, leads financial modeling in partnership with Finance, and drives the onboarding handoff that enables BD leadership to make informed, timely go/no-go decisions on creator projects.
This role also serves as the analytical backbone of the team's content licensing and rights acquisition strategy. The Sr. Revenue Strategy Manager evaluates the financial viability and strategic fit of licensing agreements with rights holders — including media companies, networks, artists, agents, and content distributors — across SVOD, TVOD, and AVOD distribution models. The role partners with Legal and Business Affairs to assess contractual terms and risk exposure in content deals, collaborates with Finance to model deal economics, build comp analyses, and stress-test greenlight recommendations, and works with Marketing and Product teams to quantify the revenue impact of vendor-specific merchandising and promotional campaigns. This position requires fluency in content licensing economics and the ability to translate complex deal structures into clear financial narratives that drive executive decision-making.
Key job responsibilities
Own end-to-end content licensing strategy, including negotiating, structuring, closing, and amending licensing agreements with rights holders, in partnership with Finance
Lead rights acquisition efforts to secure distribution rights for digital content (music/video) across SVOD, TVOD, and AVOD models
Interpret contractual terms and conditions related to content licensing, partnering with Legal to ensure compliance and favorable deal structures
Evaluate financial terms and performance of content deals with Finance, including viability modeling, deal comps analysis, and greenlight recommendations
Build and manage vendor relationships with media companies, networks, artists, agents, and rights holders to drive pipeline strategy
Support content merchandising by coordinating vendor-specific promotion campaigns with marketing and product teams
Lead pipeline governance cadence, including running the CAP pipeline meeting, ensuring sales alignment and stakeholder feedback loops
Drive creator onboarding handoff to Program Managers and Account Partner Leads, reducing ramp time and improving transition quality
