Our collaborative team is at the forefront of building world-class industrial automation solutions. Amazon is seeking a Principal Technical Program Manager (TPM) that can manage the complexity and vast technical workstreams across the entirety of the manufacturing engineering department.
The ideal candidate brings 10+ years of experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment. You should be energized by challenging, ambiguous problem statements and comfortable translating them to clear direction, managed risk, and frameworks that unlock success at an organizational scale. This role requires a highly organized, excellent communicator with the ability to quickly digest a wide range of technical issues. You will manage cross-functional relationships and work to balance departmental trade-offs against overall program success.
Key job responsibilities
- Establishing a mechanism and cadence to manage a large-scale manufacturing automation program
- Managing escalations or misalignments when there are risks to delivering committed services with high quality; facilitating/leading tradeoff decisions with customers, stakeholders, and partner teams when there are conflicting priorities
- Working with teams to determine whether a decision is a one-way or two-way door. Managing necessary discussions with customer and partner teams to manage expectations, impacts, and risks, associated with said decision(s)
- Succinctly translating risks and technical details to leadership to drive effective decision making with limited information on tight deadlines
- Developing and publishing a clear RACI to create transparency with customer teams and to drive ownership and accountability
- Coordinating across internal teams to ensure alignment and enablement of delivering deployment services
- Exercising strong technical judgement to influence and drive deployment methodology expertise to program level decisions
- Ability to understand scalability requirements and determine feasibility of technology deployments at scale – acting as the voice back to Product and Engineering teams to protect for those requirements on emerging technical products

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
