- Apply strong knowledge of Linux internals, system services, process management, permissions, networking, storage, file systems, package management, and dependency management.
- Define containerization and orchestration strategies using Docker, Kubernetes, and Amazon EKS.
- Improve reliability through observability, monitoring, alerting, capacity planning, resilience engineering, and automation.
- Establish security standards for IAM, encryption, secrets management, vulnerability management, logging, compliance, and least privilege.
- Mentor engineers through coaching, documentation, design reviews, and knowledge sharing.
Required Experience
- 6-10+ years of experience in Linux Systems Engineering, DevOps, Platform Engineering, Cloud Engineering, AWS, or a related technical role.
- Strong hands-on Linux systems engineering and administration experience, particularly with Debian and Debian-derived distributions such as Ubuntu.
- Deep understanding of Linux internals, system services, process management, permissions, networking, storage, file systems, troubleshooting, and system configuration.
- Hands-on experience with Linux software packaging and package bundling, including building, maintaining, troubleshooting, and distributing Debian (.deb) packages.

- Experience with configuration management and automation tools such as Ansible, Chef, or Puppet.
- Proven experience architecting and operating enterprise AWS platforms.
- Strong expertise in Terraform, Infrastructure as Code, AWS networking, security, firewalls, and hybrid connectivity.
- Experience designing and automating Jenkins and GitHub Actions CI/CD pipelines, builds, packaging, and deployments.
- Experience with Git, Docker, Kubernetes, and container platforms.
- Experience with scripting languages such as Bash or Python for troubleshooting and automation.
