Typical Accountabilities

  • Manages teams supporting the oncology brand strategy, ensuring effective collaboration between the Field Medical Liaison Team, internal cross functional teams, and external stakeholders
  • Potentially oversees clinical trials and/or patient safety activities
  • Ensures that all work is complaint with AstraZeneca standards and external regulation
  • Maintains relationships with healthcare professionals and other external stakeholders to develop a better understanding of their information needs and respond accordingly
  • Provides scientific consultancy to support key meetings with internal and external stakeholders
  • Oversees and delivers education workshops with the local community and medical groups as required

Essential

  • Bachelor’s Degree in life science, at least 5 years pharmaceutical industry working experience in medical affairs function
  • Thorough knowledge and experience within the area of field medical liaisons or advisors
  • Ability to manage incoming insights or requests in a timely manner and take action when appropriate
  • Ambitious, collaboration-mindset and demonstrate leadership to influence, good communication skills
  • Experience of managing clinical trials and projects
  • Knowledge of legislation relevant to pharmaceutical sales, marketing, and market access

Desirable

  • Advanced Degree in life science (Master, PhD, MD)
  • Connections in the local medical community
  • People management or coaching experience in medical affairs
