About the role
Original posting provided by amazon
As a Senior Customer and Community Engagement Leader, you'll own the end-to-end relationship with a strategic customer, serving as the primary point of contact between AWS and the customer's leadership. You'll design, build, and deliver programs that create meaningful impact for the customer's communities, and you'll excel at building deep, long-term relationships while matching those communities to the full range of opportunities AWS can offer.
What you'll do:
You'll own the strategy and execution of a customer engagement program, shaping how AWS invests in communities through mentoring, career exploration, tech education, and skills development. You'll represent AWS at the customer's flagship events, such as national summits and gatherings, and coordinate senior executive participation, including engagement at the board and Trustee level.
This role is about creating the strategy and execution of community engagement to drive impact in untapped markets, with a focus on long-term, innovative, high-impact programs that leverage Amazon's unique assets and culture. You'll apply program planning, event management, communications expertise, and project management and collaboration skills, while coordinating and communicating business outcomes and results.
The successful candidate is self-motivated, enthusiastic, and community-driven, with a positive attitude and a readiness to be a team player. This role is for you if you want to contribute, learn, build, and be challenged.
In this role, you'll demonstrate that:
-You build and own deep, trust-based relationships with senior external customers and their leadership, serving as the face of AWS and aligning both organizations around shared goals and measurable outcomes.
-You own the overall strategy of a large engagement program and successfully manage all stages, from concept to delivery. Your program meets challenging business goals and shows measurable improvements in community impact, program reach, engagement, or customer satisfaction.
-You represent AWS at external events, summits, and Trustee or board-level engagements, coordinating the participation of senior Amazon leaders, including Directors and VPs, to maximize impact and visibility.
-You communicate ideas effectively, verbally and in writing, to a wide range of audiences, including Directors, VPs, and external executives. You foster constructive dialogue, harmonize discordant views, and lead the resolution of contentious issues to build consensus. You partner successfully with customers, stakeholders, and internal teams.
-You define clear goals and objectives, drive crisp decisions about which initiatives move forward and in what priority order, and proactively identify risks, bringing them to your team and stakeholders with mitigation plans before they become roadblocks.
-You are a simplifier who judiciously adds, refines, and removes procedures, applying best practices to increase the productivity and effectiveness of the teams you work with.
