About the role
Original posting provided by amazon
In this role, you will own the full event demand generation lifecycle, creating strategy and frameworks, driving execution with a high degree of autonomy, and operating as a force multiplier across the broader team. Your responsibilities span audience growth and acquisition, messaging and positioning, integrated campaign strategy, cross-organizational alignment and enablement, and performance analysis and optimization.
The ideal candidate is a seasoned event marketing professional with a track record of independently developing and executing growth strategies at scale, crafting compelling messaging, and driving alignment across complex, matrixed marketing organizations. Experience operating in a global organization is strongly preferred. Excellent communication skills are essential, including the ability to influence senior stakeholders, analyze complex data sets to inform strategy, adapt quickly based on performance, and clearly articulate results and recommendations to senior leadership.
Key job responsibilities
This role owns end-to-end demand generation strategy and execution for AWS global events. Core responsibilities include:
- Developing and owning the integrated demand gen strategy, planning, and execution for multi-channel event campaigns with multiple program components
- Setting strategic direction for campaign approaches, channel mix, messaging, and audience targeting
- Orchestrating cross-functional marketing teams to drive campaign execution and delivery with a high degree of independence
- Driving audience growth and improving customer engagement through innovative, data-driven approaches
- Monitoring real-time performance, analyzing registration/attendance trends and channel metrics, and making data-driven optimization decisions
- Partnering with regional marketing teams to align demand generation messaging and positioning with local customer needs and market dynamics
- Mentoring and guiding team members through knowledge sharing, process development, and leading by example
- Identifying opportunities to improve processes, tools, and frameworks that elevate the quality and efficiency of the global demand gen program
- Communicating strategy, results, and recommendations to senior leadership and cross-functional stakeholders, influencing decisions at the Director+ level
A day in the life
You start the day reviewing registration performance and surfacing risks at a team stand-up. From there, you might work on strategy for an upcoming launch, refine messaging, or coach a teammate on channel optimization tactics. Afternoons could mean analyzing A/B test results, leading a cross-functional working session to align stakeholders on milestone deliverables, or building a post-event analysis that translates data into actionable recommendations for leadership. No two days look the same, but every day you're operating with strategic intent and driving measurable impact toward event goals and customer experiences.
