Illumina is looking for a strong Inside Sales Representative/Sales Development Representative with a track record of success to join our team!
 

The role includes but not limited to cold calls, set appointments and generate email outreach for the Illumina proteomics sales team, as well as qualifying inbound leads. The ISR is responsible for appointments being created, ensuring quality control, and tracking in our CRM.

Responsibilities:

  • Engage target accounts via email, calls and other tactics to promote Illumina proteomics products and services with potential customers across the Americas region, using effective selling skills, active listening, proper terminology, approved product messaging, and approved promotional materials.
  • Respond to inquiries and follow-up on Marketing qualified leads.
  • Support regional field sales representatives with effective qualified lead identification, related research and smooth transition of the qualified lead to the field sales representative
  • Set appointments/meetings related to qualified lead/opportunities for sales reps in the territories you support.
  • Nurture leads and opportunities where potential customers expressed interest but were not ready to purchase at the time of initial contact.
  • Plan and manage daily KPIs such as sales/support call activity to defined expectations
  • Participate in team meetings and live training/meetings (when required)
  • Achieve or exceed individual goals and collaborate with sales representatives to achieve and exceed targets.
  • Document all outreach information in Salesforce system


Education and Experience:

  • Typically requires Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university
  • B2B virtual/inside sales experience strongly desired, preferably in healthcare/Pharmaceutical sales
  • Typically requires MS Word and Excel expertise.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail

The estimated base salary range for the Inside Sales Representative role based in the United States of America is: $52,600 - $78,800. Should the level or location of the role change during the hiring process, the applicable base pay range may be updated accordingly. The range reflects long‑term growth in the role; therefore, most candidates are hired between the minimum and middle of the range. Placement depends on experience, skills, location, and internal equity. Additionally, all employees are eligible for one of our variable cash programs (bonus or commission) and eligible roles may receive equity as part of the compensation package.
