In this role you will lead our infrastructure-efficiency and cross region data-migration charter at Amazon scale. The systems in scope are production, mission-critical services processing millions of transactions, running across a large fleet of AWS accounts and infrastructure. Efficiency gains translate into large, fleet-wide capacity and cost impact.
You'll lead a team of 10-12 engineers driving large-scale DRAM allocation reduction across these production fleets and building the tooling and agentic workflows that make multi-region dataset migrations safe, automated, and repeatable, without compromising the availability of systems Amazon's customers and internal teams depend on every day.
This role spans people leadership, technical depth, and cross-org execution. You'll grow and develop the team, own the roadmap, dive deep on system design and efficiency, and influence partners across multiple orgs to deliver outcomes end-to-end. The team has a strong track record of realized efficiency savings and of automation that has cut manual analysis from weeks to hours, all applied safely against production workloads.

A day in the life
In this role, you will manage products and programs and deliver through a highly collaborative team that you help build. You will partner closely with senior leaders across Amazon, and frequently influence their programs and product roadmaps. One day you may be contributing to strategy documents, and another day developing your engineering talent. The Region Flexibility and Efficiency organization supports the rapid global expansion of Amazon's infrastructure. Our products support all Amazon businesses like Worldwide Stores, Alexa, Kindle, and Prime Video. The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
