Position Summary
Serves as the operational inventory management and distribution coordination expert within Global Clinical Supply Chain. Responsible for maintaining global inventory visibility, ensuring supply readiness, and coordinating global clinical supply distribution activities to support uninterrupted delivery of investigational product (IP) to patients. Through close partnership with Clinical Supply Leads (CSLs), Trial Supply Managers (TSMs), Logistics, depots, and external partners, the Inventory Planning Coordinator (IPC) drives effective inventory management, identifies and mitigates supply risks, and enables efficient operational execution across the clinical supply chain to support clinical trial success.
Duties/Responsibilities
- Works cross-functionally as part of a dynamic matrix team to plan delivery of clinical drug supply to ensure sufficient supply availability for new and ongoing studies.
- For drug supply planning, the TSM initiates the planned depot transfers, based on product-specific demand required for the established time period(s). The Inventory Planning Coordinator utilizes this information to coordinate and follow up on depot shipments to ensure sufficient supplies are at the local depots in accordance with the MRB (Must Reach By) date.
- Leads operational coordination between Logistics, Shipment Execution, Warehouses, and Depot providers to ensure timely execution of approved inventory movements
- Inventory planning management includes responsibility for monitoring expiry dates and ensuring replacement supply is available at the local depots as well as proactively identifying and communicating upcoming inventory concerns/risks to responsible TSM.
- Owns operational tracking and prioritization of QP (Qualified Person) release activities utilizing key milestone dates provided by the TSM.
- Ensures country/study approval of product for assigned programs/studies as part of depot planning.
- Supports execution and tracking of approved manual allocations and inventory movements.
- Maintains visibility of approved inventory movement plans and escalates execution risks or delays affecting implementation.
- Communicates changes to the Shipment Execution Team. Advises TSM of drug supply constraints and recommends alternative strategies to influence the ability of CSC to meet existing or anticipated demands.
- Coordinates deployment of approved Use Date Extensions at depots and maintains completion tracking, escalating deployment risks as necessary.
- If applicable, for program level supplies, prepares Product Information Listings and Batch Listing extract files as required for study database locks and regulatory filings.
- Participates on key task forces and acts as a change lead for improvement initiatives and procedural updates. Seeks continuous improvement, recommends and implements ways to improve the efficiency of clinical supply chain processes.
- Serves as the operational owner for inventory execution, distribution coordination and depot readiness activities. Escalates issues requiring supply strategy, forecasting, allocation or study-level supply decisions to the responsible TSM and/or CSL.
- Acts as a change agent and operational subject matter expert, contributing to process improvements, system enhancements, and initiatives that advance clinical supply chain capabilities and operational excellence.

Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in Supply chain or Pharma industry.
- Minimum 1 year Clinical Development with global experience.
- An equivalent combination of education and experience may substitute.
- Moderate knowledge of the global drug development process and global regulatory requirements with respect to investigational new drugs.
- Strong analytical and cross-functional negotiation skills.
- Strong project management skills and handling multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong knowledge of Inventory planning and management, and Supply Chain Functionality.
- Moderate knowledge of import / export requirements.
- Strong knowledge of industry technology.
- Oral and written communication skills (fosters open communication).
- Demonstrated teamwork and collaboration skills.
- Takes initiative and displays a strong sense of urgency.
Education/Experience/ Licenses/Certifications:
