Job Purpose:

• Lead engineering team cells through projects, using the Capital Projects Management Plan, with emphasis on schedule adherence, project deliverables, close working relationship with the operational units (OpU), cashflow management, C&Q, safety, and compliance. 

• To be actively involved within the cells, supporting with technical design experience, facility fit experience, Delta V expertise and strong commissioning experience for on-the-floor C&Q presence working with the team through this phase of projects, bringing the team along.

• To be a people manager for colleagues within the Equipment Technology group.

 

 

Role Requirements:

The role requirements are outlined below, with suitable candidates requiring the experience and attributes specified to meet role responsibilities:


    • Lead an engineering team cell through projects, using roadmap of the Pfizer Capital Projects Management Plan.
    • Ensure schedule adherence and project deliverables are achieved, working closely with OpU, Program Leads and Stakeholders, displaying the ability to meet challenging timelines within the constraints of Plan of Record, through a pro-active mindset and demonstrated innovative thinking approach to work around these, and other constraints.
    • To be actively involved in the cells with strong delta V knowledge, educating and bringing the cell teams along.
    • Strong commissioning and validation experience for active involvement in the C&Q phases, with on-the-floor presence, bringing the cell teams along.
    • Strong design and facility fit experience to lead teams through these phases of projects for new product introduction and/or new equipment.
    • Experienced in managing capital and cashflow for new products and projects.
    • Mindset of flexibility and fluidity to work and lead different work cells through challenging and varied project types in an ever-changing landscape.
    • Manage, when applicable, the relationship with the A&E/Construction Management teams through respective phases of a project.
    • Excellent planning and project management skills.
    • Effective motivator and communicator, a demonstrated ability to effectively influence at all levels, with a history or creating good working relationships with all departments and ability to see from all perspectives, from the OpU to other engineering departments and to other non-engineering disciplines.
    • Embed an IIF safety culture within the engineering team during all phases of the project lifecycle.
    • Embed a culture of ‘giving back’ within the engineering team through demonstration of active involvement in site CRGs and site programs around volunteering.
