The Program Advisory, Consulting & Execution (PACE) organization is Citi’s internal consulting and program execution team. Operating from Finance with a firmwide mandate, PACE serves as a strategic internal partner delivering management consulting, program advisory, and end-to-end execution support for Citi’s high-value initiatives and business transformation priorities. The organization partners closely with functional and business leadership to deliver significant, measurable business outcomes while retaining critical knowledge and reducing reliance on external consulting firms.
The PACE team is a global, interdisciplinary team comprised of seasoned professionals with deep financial services, program advisory, and management consulting expertise. With team members located in eight cities across five countries—Canada, Costa Rica, India, the United Kingdom, and the United States—PACE provides continuous global support, accelerated delivery, and rapid mobilization to solve the firm's most critical challenges.
In this role, you’re expected to:
- Serves as a key team member supporting highly visible operating model, process improvement, and transformation programs.
- Owns the management of core program management processes, including risk and issue tracking, status reporting, and project plan maintenance.
- Supports all phases of the project lifecycle on complex initiatives, gaining hands-on experience in end-to-end program and project delivery.
- Develops and maintains compliant project artifacts, such as dashboards and issue logs, ensuring data quality and alignment with the firm's control environment.
- Operates within a dynamic matrix structure, reporting to senior leadership while collaborating closely with engagement managers on day-to-day project execution.
Responsibilities:
- Drive the analysis of complex data and business processes, developing initial hypotheses to turn ambiguous inputs into actionable solutions.
- Support all phases of the project lifecycle, from initiation to closing, driving project execution and the successful completion of tasks and milestones.
- Own and execute core program management processes, ensuring all activities and artifacts are compliant with firm-wide policies and standards.
- Proactively manage program-level risks, issues, assumptions, and dependencies, ensuring timely identification, escalation, and the development of actionable remediation plans.
- Prepare communications for project sponsors and senior stakeholders, including the development of executive-level dashboards and progress reports.
- Manage critical program documentation, such as charters and plans, while also contributing to the team's re-usable intellectual capital and knowledgebase.
- Provide objective review and challenge of project plans and status reports to ensure quality, and drive accountability for deliverables and performance across the team.
- Work with stakeholders to author business requirements, and support technical delivery leveraging waterfall, agile, and/or hybrid methodologies.
As a successful candidate, you’d ideally have the following skills and exposure:
- A minimum of 5+ years of experience in a management consulting firm and/or financial services company, in a role supporting complex programs and projects.
- A Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience is required.
- Technical proficiency across the MS Office suite, with advanced skills in Excel for data analysis and PowerPoint for creating impactful communications.
- Demonstrated experience in analyzing complex business processes, including process mapping, root cause identification, and the development of analytical frameworks.
- Experience translating business needs into requirements and partnering with technical teams to deliver solutions across various delivery methodologies.
- Strong organizational, time management, and process management skills, with an ability to handle a high-volume workload in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with modern project delivery concepts like Agile, waterfall, as well as emerging digital trends including AI and process transformation.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- A self-starter who brings a sense of urgency to assignments and goals, with an ability to identify issues, structure analyses, and draw conclusions.
- Proven ability to work effectively in a team, demonstrating initiative and the capacity to work independently.
- Experience and ease in interfacing with Senior Management.
- Individuals should be detail-oriented with a strong sense of task ownership, and accustomed to dealing with competing demands, fast pace, and changing directions.
