Job Description

Sr. Systems Associate- Security Systems Solutions Engineering, Physical Security Technology – The role is responsible for assisting with the planning, design, coordination, implementation, and maintenance of Electronic Security Systems (ESS) in compliance with logical security practices as defined by Visa’s Technology Divisions, including its Cyber Security, Network Engineering, Mobile Security, and Information Technology and their sub-groups. This role will report to and under the guidance of the Sr. Manager – Security Systems Solutions Engineering to prepare design / engineering documentation and other artifacts as needed to complete systems onboarding, Technical Security Assessments (TSAs), assist with life-cycle management of software and hardware, perform patching and version updates, perform programming, and performing scheduled and unscheduled maintenance for systems reliability and compliance.

 

Essential Functions:

  • Act as an Application Technology Contact (ATC) to support TSA(s), support compliance with Cyber Security controls, and assist with audit requirements (including but not limited to user validation and transfer report reviews, exception requests and closeout, keeping documentation of product changes when they arise, and risk remediation when identified)
  • Assists with the coordination and facilitation of testing, configuration, deployment, and maintenance of GSS ESS and sub-system platforms, including software and hardware architecture review(s), risk remediation, and support of development to production environments.
  • Assists in the remediation of compliance findings to address requirements for software code, script, and technology changes that meet desired outcomes and reduce risk profiles.
  • Provide timely and effective triage of critical incidents that affect the ESS and its subsystems and integrations, such as patching failures, driver errors, or system errors and outages.
  • Assist in identifying complex network issues related to connecting ESS hardware to primary and secondary ethernet infrastructure including routing, tunnels, bridges, proxies, NATs, and other networking skills, and implement solutions for network and system problems.
  • Configure servers, services, and selected data feeds such as SSH, SFTP, HTTP, SMB, Certs, etc.
  • Support the roll-out, testing, and maintenance of new or updated technology solutions as necessary to fulfill strategic changes in systems and operations.
  • Perform other duties as required and directed by the Senior Manager and Manager of Security Systems Solution Engineering.

Visa requires at least 3 days in office, expectations of these days will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.

Qualifications

  • 1-3 years of relevant work experience and a Associate degree or Certificate in Computer Science or related field
  • 1-3 years of experience in Systems analysis, Enterprise application support, Cross-functional IT operations, and Technical Business Analysis (TBA)
  • Fundamental experience with program, project and release management and engineering
  • Fundamental experience with Deployment management, both Production and Non-Production Systems in a multi-site global organization
  • A Sr. Systems Associate should have proficiency in: Diagnosing recurring system issues, identifying process inefficiencies, evaluating competing solutions, and making recommendations backed by data
  • Proactive, innovative, collaborative, and driven to achieve results
  • Proficient understanding of high-availability networking load-balanced solutions, n-tier application environments and common application protocols
  • Experience with Vulnerability Remediation processes (vulnerability assessment and patch management)
  • Experience with release management particularly CI/CD pipelines, branching strategies and test automation.
  • Familiarity with application monitoring techniques and Centralized Log Management tools.
  • Experience with Service Now for Incident resolution and Change Management
  • Ability to provide risk management decisions balancing a low tolerance for risk with the need to deliver complex business solutions
  • Good interpersonal and language skills: Fluent in English (written and verbal) to a business level - written and oral, Active listening, seeking to understand other views, communicating at the appropriate level for the audience
