We are seeking an experienced, self-motivated Principal Technical Program Manager with a background in privacy governance who will help identify, analyze, and prioritize privacy risk identified through a variety of sources across Amazon. This work will help drive leadership prioritization and reduced privacy compliance risk. The Principal Technical Program Manager will drive the strategy and manage the Hourglass program, which focuses on identifying, assessing, and remediating privacy obligations across all of Amazon.
Key job responsibilities
- Drive end-to-end strategy and execution of Amazon Privacy's identification, assessment, and remediation framework for privacy obligations.
- Manage and be accountable for privacy programs and/or projects to reduce privacy and compliance risk.
- Work across various stakeholders to identify and evaluate customer needs and solutions.
- Lead various privacy compliance activities in order for Amazon to achieve and maintain compliance with legal, policy, and regulatory standards.
- Continuously prioritize risk for service teams, security teams, and executive leadership.
- Work with Principal Engineers and others to develop technical risk mitigation strategies and approaches.
- Communicate clearly and effectively both in writing and verbally with team members, stakeholders, and leadership.
- Integrate into various enterprise risk management processes.
- Establish program mechanisms, KPIs, and executive reporting.

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
