We're looking for a Chief of Staff to the CMO to provide business leadership and establish operational rigor for the Databricks Marketing organization and support our mission to be the leading enterprise Data + AI company. You will develop an understanding of strategic and operational challenges faced by teams and define appropriate solutions to address such challenges. As a member of the leadership team, directly reporting to the CMO, you will extend the reach of the CMO by acting as a strategic advisor to the Marketing leadership team and managing all the critical business operations of the CMO office, including:

  • AI transformation
  • investment stewardship
  • annual strategic planning 
  • company priority initiatives
  • marketing priorities
  • cross-functional initiatives
  • executive presentations
  • marketing performance (ROI) management
  • organizational strategy
  • internal marketing communication

The impact you will have:

  • Translate Databricks' company strategy into Marketing annual plans, OKRs, and strategic initiatives
  • Drive marketing alignment and execution by driving company priority and marketing priority initiatives across a 250-person Marketing team
  • Identify and lead cross-functional process improvements that deliver on company-wide efficiency and profitability goals, most notably our AI transformation
  • Accelerate decision-making velocity by owning critical CMO forums (e.g., Marketing leadership, Marketing strategy), running high-impact agendas and follow-through on all action items 
  • Increase planning and analytic rigor; improve Marketing ROI and efficiency year-on-year in line with the company’s rapid growth goals, and in partnership with Analytics and Finance
  • Drive marketing-wide and cross-functional alignment by driving CMO communications and exec presentations, including driving All-Staff meetings and quarterly business reviews

  • Significant project management and OKR leadership skills, with experience in achieving quantifiable results
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and relationship-building skills with Senior Leadership and C-Level
  • Experience in organizational structure improvement and process optimization
  • Experience with an Analytic Consulting firm is preferred

Pay Range Transparency

Databricks is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The pay range(s) for this role is listed below and represents the expected salary range for non-commissionable roles or on-target earnings for commissionable roles.  Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to job-related skills, depth of experience, relevant certifications and training, and specific work location. Based on the factors above, Databricks anticipates utilizing the full width of the range. The total compensation package for this position may also include eligibility for annual performance bonus, equity, and the benefits listed above. $221,900—$305,150 USD
