You are able to execute small projects on your own and work with your manager in planning and executing larger local projects. You act as an escalation point for junior technicians. You understand all aspects of the equipment you support. Days shift, night shift, and weekend work is required.
This position requires that the candidate selected be a US Citizen and currently possess and maintain an active TS/SCI Security Clearance.
Key job responsibilities
You will be required to engage in physical data center activities with or without reasonable accommodation. This includes all tasks associated with planning and tracking capacity, rack deployment, rack cabling, hardware and software troubleshooting, and rack decommissioning.
These activities include the following:
- Lifting and moving material up to 40 pounds each
- Working in cramped and/or elevated locations
- Bending, lifting, stretching, and reaching
- Standing and walking for up to 8+ hours a day
- Ascending and descending ladders, stairs, and gangways safely and without limitation
- Work in a noisy environment
- Work shifts longer than 8 hours to support 24/7 operations (covering both night and day shifts).

Basic Qualifications
- High school or equivalent diploma, or A+ or CND (Certified Network Defender) or Network+ or Security+- Current, active TS/SCI US Government Security Clearance
- 2+ years of server hardware troubleshooting and repair experience, or experience with network equipment installation and configuration
- 2+ years of network cabling, optic types, and test equipment experience, or experience with fiber optic and copper cabling standards, testing equipment & troubleshooting methodologies
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in networking, storage systems, operating systems and hands-on systems engineering- Bachelor's degree, or CCNA or equivalent level networking certification
- Experience working in a data center environment (racking and stacking gear, cable management, hot/cold aisle containment)
- Bachelor's degree in an IT-related field (e.g., Computer Science, Network Engineering), or experience in professional or military IT-related roles
- 2+ years of data center, critical environment, computer hardware repair, infrastructure cabling, network deployment, or data center operations experience, or experience working with Linux operating systems

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
