Original job description

Content provided by the employer

Summary

Shape the future of spatial computing by building rendering technologies for Apple Vision Pro and next-generation vision products. As part of the RealityKit team, you'll architect and optimize systems that bring spatial media to life, transforming how millions experience immersive photos, videos, and 3D content in visionOS.

Develop high-performance rendering pipelines that blend digital content with the physical world, optimize GPU workloads for high visual fidelity, and build new techniques for spatial video playback and 3D media presentation. Your work will directly impact how users capture memories, consume entertainment, and interact with spatial content across Apple's vision ecosystem.

Description

As a Media Pipeline Engineer on the RealityKit team, you'll architect and implement rendering systems that power spatial media experiences across visionOS and Apple Vision Pro. You'll develop GPU pipelines for spatial photo and video playback, optimize real-time rendering of 3D content with techniques like foveated rendering and temporal reprojection, and collaborate with media frameworks, Metal, and hardware teams to maximize visual quality while maintaining smooth performance. Your work will span the full rendering stack, from low-level shader optimization and memory management to high-level API design, giving developers powerful, intuitive tools to create spatial experiences. You'll tackle challenges like efficient multi-view rendering and integration of spatial media with virtual content, while meeting Apple's standards for performance and user experience.
