Team/Role Overview

Join Citi's Global Business Expense Transparency organization as a Capital Markets Business/Data Analyst. You'll drive the development and enhancement of our Trade Cost Calculator and Analytics platform—a best-in-class system providing critical insights into trading costs and activities across global markets. This role demands a seasoned professional who can bridge business and technology, working directly with trading desks, business management, and senior stakeholders to deliver actionable analytics and drive platform evolution.

Key Responsibilities

Platform Development & Analytics

  • Lead development initiatives for the VARCITI trade cost analytics platform
  • Design and deliver robust trade and cost analytics, including volume profiling, product analysis, and expense trend identification
  • Develop and refine reconciliation processes for trade expense analytics against third-party invoices

Stakeholder Collaboration

  • Partner with Front Office, Middle Office, Operations, and Technology teams to understand dependencies and design effective metrics
  • Engage trading desks and senior stakeholders to promote platform capabilities and gather enhancement requirements
  • Own trading cost fee calculations and volume reconciliation processes across multiple products

Requirements & Delivery

  • Collaborate with technology teams throughout the software development lifecycle to translate business requirements into timely feature releases
  • Analyze enhancement opportunities to increase transparency and accuracy in cost reporting
  • Gather and document requirements for new metrics, reporting enhancements, and onboarding requests
