Role Overview

Harvey is building AI-native software for professional services. Our customers trust us with some of the world's most sensitive information, making security fundamental to everything we build. As a leader on our Product Security team, you'll help embed security into our engineering organization, enabling teams to build quickly and securely as we scale.

Reporting to the Senior Director of Product Security, you'll help shape our product security roadmap and lead a team of engineers in delivering it. Your team will own defined areas of Harvey's production surface, working closely with product and platform engineers to shape architecture, influence design decisions, and build security tooling. You'll combine people leadership with sound technical judgment to protect our customers and make secure development easier across Harvey.

What You'll Do

You'll partner directly with our Senior Director of Product Security to translate the broader security strategy into focused priorities and measurable outcomes for your team. You'll hire, develop, and lead Product Security Engineers, establishing clear ownership and helping them become trusted partners to their engineering counterparts. Working closely with Engineering, Product, Infrastructure, and Security, you'll align security investments with business priorities and the technical realities of our platform.

Day to day, you'll own your team's planning, prioritization, and delivery. You'll provide technical direction on architecture reviews, threat modeling, and remediation, helping engineers navigate complex security tradeoffs. You'll scale the team's impact through automation, developer tooling, and secure-by-default patterns, while using what your team learns to improve our security standards and engineering practices. You'll communicate risks and progress to engineering leaders, build alignment on priorities, and hold the team accountable for meaningful improvements to Harvey's security.

What You Have

• Experience managing Product Security or Application Security engineers at a growing technology company

• A strong engineering background with deep expertise in modern application security and cloud-native architectures

• A track record of delivering security improvements through engineering, automation, and close partnership with development teams

• Experience hiring, mentoring, and developing security engineers, with a focus on technical growth and clear ownership

• The ability to translate broader security goals into focused team priorities and measurable results.

• Sound technical judgment and the ability to earn credibility with senior engineers and influence cross-functional partners.

Compensation

$272,000 - $408,000 USD
