Director, Head of Billing - Services

Team/Role Overview:

 

The Head of Billing will be responsible for designing, simplifying, implementing, and executing the pricing processes end to end for Services in close partnership with all products, functions and clusters when applicable. This role reports into the Head of Pricing, Billing and Statements (PBS), and is part of the Platform and Data Services (PDS) organisation.

 

What you’ll do:

 

• Identify and review all the billing processes across Services to assess areas of strength and weakness.
• Identify where processes, capabilities and infrastructure across Services can be standardized, consolidated, or improved to reduce fragmented approach and execution
• Develop and execute a strategy for improvement and risk remediation, to include activities, timelines, and required investment

• Develop a standard framework that captures the full billing lifecycle, where specific roles and responsibilities can be tailored to each product as necessary
• Responsible for the horizontal oversight of all billing activities in Services including fees and NII in close partnership with products, operations, technology, and sales
• Review all billing processes in Services and identify areas for improvements, standardization and consolidation of platforms and tools
• Responsible for the roll-out of common billing platforms across all the targeted markets
• Work with products to identify risks in the billing process and implement strategic solutions and compensating controls when the strategic solution has not been implemented yet
• Working closely with the Head of Pricing, Head of Data (PBS), Global Head of Billing Operations, and PBS Cluster leads to ensure alignment
• Define and drive analytics, tools, and initiatives to address billing performance, leakage, and revenue opportunities
• Implement a central database for invoices and charges for all products that allows for robust price analytics and benchmarking
• Maintain and further improve the Client Profitability Tool

 

What we’ll need from you:

 

• A highly motivated and experienced professional prepared to lead and manage a complex yet important pricing execution and strategy in the Services business
• Knowledge of Payments & Receivables, Investor, and Issuer products and the nature of how clients use these services, how they are priced, etc.
• Experience in collaborating across teams to receive relevant information from each respective team required.

• Forward looking, strategic thinker with strong understanding of Treasury & Trade Solutions products
• Creative, innovative, high energy with strong initiative
• Strong communication skills
• Strong executive presence
• Comfortability presenting to senior leadership
• Influencing skills to manage stakeholders effectively
• Strong execution and project management skills: thorough follow-through & attention to detail
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; familiarity with data analytics a plus
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work with partners
• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent, Master’s a plus
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel advanced proficient preferred, PowerPoint proficient)
