The Role: Analyst – Renewables Markets

The Team: S&P Global Energy is the leading provider of Clean Energy Technology data and insight and is currently looking to recruit a market analyst focused on the renewables sector in Penang, Malaysia to support its rapidly growing and successful team, which is located across various locations in Europe, Asia, and the Americas.

The Impact: The successful candidate will be keen to work as part of a global team, developing knowledge of the cleantech and renewable energy industry, as well as established analytical and communication skills. They will assist in updating and managing global clean energy databases to support our global analyst team and the critical business decisions of our customers.

What’s in it for you: The individual will be a contributor to the Renewables Markets team and will support clients by maintaining and updating critical databases. They will focus on the rapidly developing market for renewable energy, developing deep expertise in technology trends and analyzing project pipelines, with a primary focus on updating and enhancing our clean power projects database.

Responsibilities:

• Collect, manage, and analyze market data to track and identify trends, policies, stakeholders, projects, and technology developments in the renewables sector.
• Maintain and enhance critical databases to ensure accurate and up-to-date information for research initiatives.
• Collaborate with both a global team and local colleagues to align data and insights.

What We’re Looking For: The ideal candidate will have established knowledge and a keen interest in the renewable energy sector. Prior experience of working in a research analyst role, as well as both English and ideally Chinese (mandarin) language skills are also highly valued:

Ideal:

• Knowledge of the cleantech and renewables industry.
• Good communicator
• Strong analytical skills, including competent with Excel
• Fluent in English and ideally Chinese (mandarin)
