Charles River Development (CRD) is the FinTech division of State Street. Together with State Street's Middle and Back-office services, Charles River's cloud-based Front Office technology forms the foundation of the State Street Alpha® Platform, the first front-to-back solution in the industry.

The Alpha Data Platform enables clients to load, enrich, and aggregate investment data. Leveraging this platform, clients can manage multi-asset class data from any service provider or data vendor to gain a holistic and integrated view of their holdings. This platform reflects State Street's years of experience servicing complex financial instruments and continued investments in advanced data management technologies.

As a Data Integration Developer / Senior Data Integration Developer, you will be responsible for the overall development lifecycle, successful delivery, implementation, support, and continuous improvement of Alpha Data Platform services and client data integration solutions.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, implement, and support ETL data pipelines, Snowflake data warehouse solutions, CI/CD deployment pipelines, and data quality/data readiness frameworks.
• Perform hands-on development and troubleshooting activities, addressing code defects, data quality issues, performance bottlenecks, and production support requirements.
• Conduct SQL query tuning, optimization, and data load performance improvements to meet SLAs for both batch and real-time data processing use cases.
• Investigate complex technical issues, perform root cause analysis, and develop innovative, scalable, and efficient solutions.
• Collaborate with global teams across APAC, EMEA, and North America to establish design standards, create high-level solution designs, conduct knowledge-sharing sessions, and support client onboarding initiatives.
• Create and maintain SDLC artifacts, governance documentation, architecture documents, code review records, unit test results, deployment plans, and Confluence/Jira/Kanban deliverables.
• Leverage advanced SQL debugging and data analysis techniques to resolve defects, support production incidents, and perform root cause investigations while partnering with business and technology stakeholders.
• Participate in client implementation, production support, and operational improvement initiatives to ensure successful onboarding and long-term client satisfaction.
• Manage Git repositories, feature branches, release branches, code merging activities, version control processes, and deployment coordination.
• Lead and mentor a team of Data Integration Developers by providing technical guidance, code reviews, knowledge sharing, workload planning, and development support.
• Own end-to-end delivery responsibilities across the complete software development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, solution design, development, testing, deployment, production support, and post-production stabilization.
• Serve as the primary technical point of contact for client delivery and support engagements, coordinating with clients, product teams, operations teams, and business stakeholders.
• Drive project execution by managing priorities, delivery commitments, risks, dependencies, and resource planning to ensure successful and timely delivery.
• Collaborate closely with Product Management, Business Analysts, QA, DevOps, Operations, and Architecture teams to deliver scalable, secure, and reliable data integration solutions.
• Lead production support activities, incident management, client escalations, and service restoration efforts while implementing preventive measures to improve platform stability and operational efficiency.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on automation, operational excellence, process standardization, monitoring, observability, and supportability.
• Ensure adherence to enterprise architecture standards, governance processes, security requirements, coding standards, and best practices throughout solution delivery.

Qualifications

Education

• Bachelor's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, Information Technology, or another technical field required.

Experience

• Minimum 12-15 years of experience in Data Integration, Data Engineering, ETL/ELT, or Data Orchestration services.
• Strong data warehousing concepts and hands-on experience with ETL tools such as Talend Cloud Data Integration.
• Advanced SQL development, debugging, performance tuning, and query optimization skills.
• Experience designing scalable service architectures and delivering data-driven solutions for client requirements.
• Strong experience with Microsoft Azure cloud technologies, Snowflake Data Cloud, database design, and performance optimization.
• Experience developing and supporting enterprise-scale data integration solutions in cloud-based environments.
• Exposure to financial services and investment management domain concepts is highly desirable.
• Prior experience with State Street and/or Charles River Development (CRD) is considered a strong advantage.
• Experience with Qlik Replicate, Qlik Compose, CDC technologies, and data replication frameworks is preferred.
• Exposure to third-party market data providers such as Bloomberg, Reuters, MSCI, FactSet, and rating agencies is a plus.
• Experience leading development teams, mentoring engineers, managing work allocation, and driving delivery excellence in a global environment.
• Proven ability to own and deliver complex projects with end-to-end accountability across development, testing, deployment, and production support.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with clients, business users, product managers, and senior leadership.
• Experience supporting enterprise SaaS platforms, managing production support activities, and handling client escalations within SLA-driven environments.
• Demonstrated experience in Agile/Scrum methodologies, CI/CD practices, DevOps processes, release management, and cloud-native data solutions.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, leadership, and decision-making skills with a focus on delivering scalable and maintainable solutions.
