The GBS Process & Analytics Services(PAS) Senior Director serves as the business-facing element of an enterprise-wide delivery function within the Global Business Services (GBS) organization. This pivotal role coordinates the delivery of enterprise services for a specified Senior Executive Team (SET) area, ensuring that services are aligned and embedded into the customer strategy. The Process & Analytics Services Senior Director will be assigned to R&D SET area and supports Functional Business Partners in pitching new and expanded scopes for GBS delivery, while managing resource projections, work allocation, and team management. They ensure teams possess the right functional knowledge, capabilities, and training. As the point of escalation for enterprise services within their functional area, the Enterprise Lead makes clear commitments and drives resolution to maintain service excellence 

The GBS PAS Senior Director is responsible for defining the approach to the SET assigned and accountable for all the service delivered by GBS PAS. The GBS PAS Senior Director has dotted line to the GBS LT member which coordinates the strategy for the assigned SET area. The role leads the functional knowledge in GBS PAS and in collaboration with the business domain experts will understand the needs and shape services and solutions that enables the business to create value.  

The GBS PAS Senior Director sits on the GBS Process & Analytics Services Leadership Team and influence the strategy for the full Enterprise Service.

The role holder will be accountable for: 

• Coordinating the delivery of enterprise services for a specified SET area, ensuring alignment with customer strategies. 

• Supporting Functional Business Partners in pitching new and expanded service scopes to clients. 

• Delivering a set of functionally aligned deliverables for an Enterprise Service embedded into the customer strategy. 

• Managing resource projections, recharges, work allocation, and team management to optimize GBS PAS service delivery to the SET are in scope. 

• Ensuring teams have the necessary functional knowledge, capabilities, and training to meet service commitments. 

• Acting as the point of escalation for enterprise services for their functional area, resolving issues promptly. 

• Making clear commitments to stakeholders and driving resolutions to maintain high service standards. 

• Collaborating with GBS leadership to enhance service offerings and identify opportunities for process improvements. 

• Monitoring performance metrics and implementing strategies to improve service delivery and customer satisfaction 

• Become the trusted partner for setting the Process and Analytics strategy for the customer function. 

Education, Qualifications, Skills and Experience

Essential:

• Proven experience in a business partnering role within a shared services or GBS environment: 
• Strong coordination and project management skills with the ability to manage complex service delivery functions. 

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and drive strategic initiatives. 

• Experience in resource management, including work allocation and team development. 

• Ability to make clear commitments and effectively manage escalations to resolution. 

• Strong analytical skills and ability to align functional deliverables with customer strategies. 

• Demonstrated ability to lead teams and foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement. | - Experience in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry. 

• Familiarity with enterprise service delivery models and best practices. 

• Experience in strategic planning and change management initiatives. 

• Understanding of digital transformation and its impact on service deliver 

Desirable:

• GBS Acumen: Comprehensive understanding of the GBS space as well as the clear understanding of the external marketplace (current & future) to shape new opportunities. Experience in both Captive and BPO. 
• Business acumen and industry knowledge : Solid understanding of assigned SET area and how it operates at an enterprise level, trends in pharmaceutical industry, market dynamics, and the competitive landscape to proactively identify opportunities and business needs, assess risks and make informed decisions align with business objectives and strategic goals.
