Description

Our Wi-Fi Quality Engineering team is looking for a highly motivated individual with excellent problem-solving and communication skills. You'll take an active role in shaping the quality of our software. This will demand deep integration with our development engineers, creating test plans, bug reporting and triaging, identifying automation opportunities and working on developing/maintaining AI based Automation framework/solutions, and supporting design reviews. You'll help us identify holes in coverage, actively sync with multi-functional teams to reduce duplication, foster better testing, and resist regressions to deliver high-quality releases. You will join a dynamic team responsible for qualifying the CoEx features on Apple’s innovative devices.

Responsibilities

Design, execute and maintain thorough test plans for 802.11 Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, 802.15 Thread, and Ultra Wideband (UWB) technologies
Develop and execute CoEx test plans covering concurrent Wi-Fi + Bluetooth use cases, including A2DP, HFP/eSCO, BLE, AirPods, Apple Watch, and other accessories
Validate 2.4 GHz and 5/6 GHz Wi-Fi performance under Bluetooth coexistence scenarios, including throughput, latency, packet loss, range, and connection stability
Perform Range vs. Rate (RvR), OTA, mobility, and performance testing on iPhone/iPad across different APs, channels, bandwidths, MLO configurations, and RF conditions
Analyze Wi-Fi/BT/RF/system logs and work cross-functionally with FW, driver, Bluetooth, and system teams to isolate and resolve CoEx issues
Develop and maintain automated CoEx test suites for Pre-Sub/ATP, including automated traffic generation, Bluetooth connection setup, Wi-Fi configuration, performance measurement, and result analysis
Integrate CoEx automation into CI/Jenkins pipelines to enable continuous regression testing and reduce manual execution
Define CoEx KPIs and regression criteria for new iOS releases and track performance across software builds

Minimum Qualifications

You have a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience
You have 3+ years of experience in Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, wireless networking, mobile platforms, or wireless validation/testing
You have experience with Python or another scripting language for test automation and data analysis
You have a strong understanding of 802.11 Wi-Fi fundamentals, including 2.4 GHz, 5 GHz, 6 GHz, channel/bandwidth configuration, throughput, latency, packet loss, and roaming
You have hands-on experience testing Wi-Fi and Bluetooth coexistence, including concurrent Wi-Fi + Bluetooth traffic and performance scenarios
You have experience with Wi-Fi/Bluetooth log analysis and debugging, with the ability to isolate issues across software, firmware, driver, and RF layers
Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to document reproduction steps, logs, performance data, and root-cause findings
You have experience with AI and real world problem solving

Preferred Qualifications

You're highly motivated, self-driven, and passionate about Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and wireless technologies, with the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
You have exceptional problem-solving, debugging, and root-cause analysis skills, with experience investigating complex Wi-Fi/Bluetooth coexistence and performance issues
You have strong knowledge of 802.11 Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, wireless performance, and CoEx, with hands-on experience in OTA, RvR, mobility, and system-level validation
You have experience developing and maintaining automation and testing tools, including Python-based frameworks and integration with AQS, ATP, CI, or Jenkins environments
You're passionate about innovation and continuous improvement, with experience leveraging Generative AI or agentic tools to improve test coverage, log analysis, root-cause analysis, and wireless validation

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $129,300 and $225,300, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
