The Head of Latin America & Caribbean Payroll, Vice President (VP), will be part of the Global Payroll and Time & Attendance leadership team and will contribute to both the strategic and tactical direction of the organization. The role leads regional payroll activities across the full payroll cycle for the Cayman Islands, Mexico, Colombia, Chile, and Brazil, in collaboration with global HR process owners, HR Centers of Excellence, Finance, Treasury, Tax, Legal, Technology, and third-party providers.

The Head of Latin America & Caribbean Payroll, Vice President (VP), will lead a service-oriented team to deliver accurate, timely, secure, and compliant payroll services across multiple countries, payroll cycles, statutory environments, banking arrangements, and vendor platforms. The position is responsible for strengthening the payroll control environment, overseeing payroll tax return submissions and statutory payments, driving continuous improvement, and leading payroll activities associated with mergers, acquisitions, legal-entity changes, and regional expansion. The role will ensure ongoing tax and legal compliance, effective governance, audit readiness, and strong relationships with stakeholders at multiple levels across the region and globally.

What you will be responsible for

As Head of Latin America & Caribbean Payroll, Vice President (VP) you will:

• Lead regional payroll operations and develop a service-oriented, accountable, and engaged vendor partnership.
• Oversee end-to-end payroll delivery across the Cayman Islands, Mexico, Colombia, Chile, and Brazil, including payroll results, reconciliations, funding, employee payments, statutory liabilities, and exceptions.
• Oversee accurate and timely payroll tax returns, social security filings, statutory declarations, payments, year-end reporting, and supporting documentation. Experience with DIAN submissions is preferred.
• Build and maintain a strong risk and control environment, including preventive and detective controls, maker-approver requirements, four-eye reviews, segregation of duties, access governance, reconciliations, and audit evidence.
• Lead remediation of control deficiencies, audit findings, compliance gaps, late or inaccurate filings, payment issues, and recurring payroll defects; escalate material risks promptly.
• Represent the region on transformation, governance, mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, employer transfers, legal-entity changes, and vendor transitions.
• Lead payroll due diligence and integration planning, including review of vendors, registrations, portal and bank access, historical filings and liabilities, collective bargaining requirements, employee data, testing, cutover, and stabilization.
• Monitor regional payroll, tax, labor, social security, banking, and regulatory developments and coordinate timely implementation of required changes.
• Manage third-party providers against service levels, compliance obligations, control expectations, and corrective-action commitments.
• Drive standardization, automation, payroll technology, process improvement, documentation, business continuity, cross-training, and performance reporting.
• Build strong partnerships with HR, Finance, Treasury, Tax, Legal, Benefits, Compensation, Technology, Internal Audit, country representatives, and external providers.

Education and preferred qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and/or 10-15 years of relevant payroll experience, including leadership of multi-country Latin America and Caribbean payroll operations with collective bargaining agreements.
• Demonstrated payroll experience supporting the Cayman Islands, Mexico, Colombia, Chile, and Brazil, with knowledge of local payroll, tax, labor, social security, filing, and payment requirements.
• Experience overseeing payroll tax return submissions, statutory payments, government and banking portals, payroll funding, employee payments, and reconciliations.
• Proven ability to design and manage payroll controls, segregation of duties, SOX-aligned documentation, audit support, and remediation.
• Experience leading payroll workstreams for mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, legal-entity changes, or payroll integrations.
• Experience managing outsourced payroll providers and working effectively across global and regional stakeholder groups.
• Strong leadership, analytical, project-management, communication, organizational, and prioritization capabilities.
• Professional fluency in English and Spanish required; Portuguese strongly preferred. Workday and multi-country payroll platform experience preferred.
