Senior Java Developer - Assistant Vice President

We are seeking a highly skilled Assistant Vice President (AVP), Software Senior Engineer, to design, develop, and maintain robust middleware solutions. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Java and Spring Boot, strong database knowledge, and a passion for leveraging AI to drive productivity and innovation.

Responsibilities"

• Design & Development: Lead development of complex middleware applications using Java and Spring Boot, leveraging AI-powered tools (Copilot, Codex) to accelerate development and enforce best practices
• Database Optimization: Architect and optimize database interactions with Oracle, SQL, and MongoDB, using AI to analyze performance and suggest improvements
• CI/CD Excellence: Drive adoption of CI/CD pipelines with AI-integrated testing, vulnerability scanning, and predictive failure analysis
• Collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams to define requirements and deliver high-quality software
• Mentorship: Guide junior engineers and foster AI-driven development practices
• Innovation: Research and implement AI technologies to enhance productivity and software quality
• Code Quality: Participate in code reviews using AI-powered analysis tools for bug detection and security scanning
• Problem Solving: Troubleshoot complex issues using AI-driven anomaly detection and log analysis
• Risk Assessment: Leverage AI for advanced risk analytics and compliance monitoring

Required Technical Skills:

• Core Java: Strong understanding (preferably Java 11/17), multithreading, collections, garbage collection, JVM internals
• Frameworks: Extensive experience with Spring Framework (Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Data JPA, Spring Security)
• Middleware: RESTful APIs, microservices architecture
• NoSQL Databases: MongoDB (data modeling, querying, performance tuning)
• CI/CD & DevOps: Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, Maven, Gradle, Docker, Kubernetes
• Version Control: Git, standard branching strategies (Gitflow)
• Testing: JUnit, Mockito, integration testing
• Web Technologies: SOAP/REST web services, XML, JSON
• AI Tools & Methodologies: GitHub Copilot, Claude, Devin, Codex, Anti Gravity; AI/ML concepts, prompt engineering, integrating AI into development workflows (code generation, testing, debugging, documentation).
• Angular experience is a plus.

Qualifications:

• 5-8 years of experience in applications development with modern software engineering practices.
• Proven track record of managing and implementing successful projects.
• Experience with AI-driven development approaches.
• Working knowledge of consulting/project management techniques adaptable to AI-accelerated lifecycles.
• AI certification is a plus.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage deadlines with AI tools for enhanced adaptability.

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience.
