Job Description

THE POSITION

Join our engineering team and take a hands-on role in supporting and improving advanced Mass Spectrometry systems used in scientific applications worldwide. You will work at the intersection of mechanics, electronics, software, and applications, solving complex system-level challenges and turning technical insights into improvements in product quality, reliability, and manufacturing performance.

Working closely with R&D, Manufacturing, Quality, and Service, you’ll build deep product expertise and help bring new products and technologies successfully into production.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide hands-on system engineering support to manufacturing, ensuring product quality and stable production.
• Troubleshoot complex system-level issues, perform root cause analysis, and drive corrective actions.
• Support resolution of production, testing, quality, and field issues in cooperation with Manufacturing, Quality, R&D, and Service.
• Develop strong product and system knowledge and understand interactions between mechanical, electrical, software, and application functions.
• Drive continuous improvement activities focused on product quality, reliability, test performance, and production efficiency.
• Lead and support engineering projects, including NPI, product transfers, engineering changes, and implementation of technical improvements.
• Support system testing, verification, validation, and troubleshooting during prototype, pilot, and regular production.
• Analyze system performance and test results and identify opportunities for product and process improvements.
• Collaborate with R&D, Manufacturing, Quality, Service, Sourcing, and suppliers on technical solutions.

REQUIREMENTS

• Degree in Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, Mechatronics, Electronics, or related technical field.
• Good knowledge and understanding of Mass Spectrometry systems, technology, and applications.
• Strong technical understanding and ability to work with complex multidisciplinary systems.
• Strong hands-on skills in system troubleshooting, testing, root cause analysis, and problem solving.
• Ability to understand interactions between hardware, software, mechanics, electronics, and applications.
• Experience supporting production, testing, NPI, product transfers, and engineering changes is beneficial.
• Strong analytical, communication, teamwork, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate in an international and cross-functional environment.
• Good command of English and willingness to travel internationally as needed.
