Senior Financial Analyst, Reverse Logistics Finance

Amazon’s Reverse Logistics Finance is looking for a Senior Financial Analyst to be the trusted finance partner for one of our Reverse Logisitics (RELO) fulfillment centers supporting operational and functional leaders. In this role, you will work in a fast-paced, high-energy environment where no day is ever the same. You will utilize financial modeling expertise to transform complex data into actionable insights that influence upper leadership decisions and drive operational excellence.

Your analytical skills will be instrumental in identifying risks, opportunities, and process improvements within the returns network. This position offers significant data mining opportunities, exposure to senior leadership, and the chance to be a key member of the decision-making team within the Return Center (RC). As Amazon continues to expand its fulfillment network, you will play a critical role in supporting operational and financial excellence in an organization committed to growth and innovation.

Key job responsibilities
Business Finance Support:

- Use solid financial knowledge and business acumen to build financial models and analyses with little guidance; draw conclusions and make recommendations that deliver results and drive improvements.
- Independently align financial and operational analyses with business partners, challenging assumptions when necessary.
- Provide analysis and recommendations to leaders to support operational and growth business decisions and plans.
- Proactively identify opportunities to resolve finance defects and improve, automate, standardize or simplify business tools and processes across teams and organizations.

Controllership:

- Own the financial reporting for a business area and supervise or teach others in areas of financial reporting.
- Identify and solve complex data integrity issues and collaborate with stakeholders on resolution, insisting on the highest standards.
- Develop and execute data analysis processes that are scalable and auditable.

Communication:

- Intuitively utilize active listening skills to communicate data (both written and verbal) in a clear, concise, and unambiguous manner, adjusting your style based on audience, to articulate complex finance issues.
- Create effective business partnership with Site Leaders, manage competing priorities, and provide guidance during unexpected events.
- Have backbone and challenge business partner plans and assumptions.

Team Leadership:

- Participate in hiring, developing, and mentoring activities while you seek value, and leverage diverse perspectives.

About the team
This role will partner closely with a broad range of Senior Leaders in Finance, Operations, Supply Chain, Engineering, Procurement, Accounting, HR and Technology. This role plays a critical role as a financial advocate and business partner. This role will design, develop, and maintain performance measurements and reporting on strategic input drivers to continuously improve the economics of the business.

Basic Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or a related analytical field (e.g., engineering, math, computer science)
- 3+ years of finance or a related analytical field experience

Preferred Qualifications

- MBA, or CPA
- 4+ years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience
- Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)
- Knowledge of Tableau

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
