DESCRIPTION:
As Director of Product Management, Molecular Portfolio at Thermo Fisher Scientific, you will lead global product strategy, portfolio management, and commercialization for the Transplant Diagnostics Division (One Lambda) molecular diagnostics portfolio. You will define product vision and roadmap, translating customer and market needs into comprehensive product requirements and strategic initiatives. You'll partner cross-functionally to develop and launch innovative molecular diagnostic solutions that advance transplant medicine and patient outcomes. Leading with deep expertise in molecular diagnostics, you'll drive portfolio growth by developing differentiated products that address complex scientific and clinical challenges in histocompatibility and immunogenetics. You'll manage P&L responsibility while developing and guiding global teams to deliver breakthrough diagnostic technologies.

REQUIREMENTS:
• Advanced Degree plus 6 years of experience, or Bachelor's Degree plus 8 years of experience in progressive product management in life sciences, scientific instruments, or related industry
• Preferred Fields of Study: science, engineering, or business-related field
• Additional certifications in product management or relevant areas beneficial
• 5+ years of people leadership experience managing global teams
• Strong P&L management and business acumen with track record of driving revenue growth
• Deep understanding of product lifecycle management from concept through commercialization
• Expertise in voice of customer research, market analysis, and competitive intelligence
• Proven ability to develop and execute product strategies and roadmaps

• Deep expertise in molecular diagnostics technologies including Next-Generation Sequencing (NGS), PCR, genotyping, and molecular assays

• Strong understanding of transplant diagnostics, HLA typing, histocompatibility, and immunogenetics applications

• Experience with In Vitro Diagnostics (IVD) product development and commercialization in clinical diagnostics markets

• Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills to drive data-based decisions
• Willingness to travel up to 30% internationally
• Strong project management capabilities and attention to detail
• Proficiency with financial modeling and business case development

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range estimated for this position based in California is $176,000.00–$245,000.00.
