The role

The Customer Engagement Lead (CEL) – Rare (Blood) Diseases is a key role within the Rare Disease franchise, with the focus on the Netherlands.

 

This is an exciting time to join the franchise: you will play a central role in bringing new products to patients, working on high-impact launches (including Wayrilz and Ayvakyt) while helping shape the trajectory of our growing Rare Disease portfolio and future pipeline launches.

 

Within the franchise brand plans, the Customer Engagement Lead executes marketing and sales strategy through a combination of office based digital and in field activities for multiple products and services, through Customer needs identification and Omnichannel collaborative approach at country and MCO level. While the primary focus is the Netherlands, this role also offers the opportunity to contribute to cross-country initiatives and projects that extend beyond NL borders, as part of a broader North Europe and global collaboration. Activities require a cross functional approach with Sales, North Europe Marketing, Medical and omnichannel teams.

 

This position requires someone who can think strategically about the entire customer journey while executing tactically across multiple channels. Someone who thrives on building communities while maintaining rigorous on making data-driven decisions and prioritization. Someone who can navigate the intersection of execution excellence, stakeholder influence, creativity and technology - and who is energized by the challenge of launching new products into the market.

 

Responsibilities

 

CUSTOMER

  • Build and maintain strong, trust-based relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) and multidisciplinary treatment teams in rare diseases,  hematology and beyond
  • Provide high-quality medical-scientific product information on Sanofi's Rare Disease / Rare Blood Disorders portfolio, including current and upcoming pipeline launches.
  • Identify opportunities for patient identification, treatment optimisation, and therapy access
  • Monitor market dynamics, competitive landscape, and treatment guidelines across the therapeutic areas covered by the full portfolio.

 

PERFORMANCE - Local Marketing & Brand Execution

  • Elaborate the Customer Engagement Plan, aligned with the brand strategy, ensure brand messaging alignment across channels
  • Translate global/regional brand and marketing strategies into local tactics and activities for the Netherlands
  • Define and execute the cross-functional Omnichannel customer journey  with the appropriate Go To Market Capabilities (GTMC)
  • Coordinate and execute integrated customer journeys via different channels (email, webinars, portals), events, and congress activities
  • Plan and organise local HCP events, speaker programs, and educational meetings in collaboration with Medical Affairs and agencies
  • Play an active role in launch readiness and execution for new products, ensuring the Netherlands is well positioned to bring innovative treatments to patients quickly and effectively
  • Ensure availability, adaptation, and distribution of marketing materials, presentations, and tools for accounts within compliance frameworks
  • Collect and report customer insights, feedback, and market trends to inform brand and marketing strategy
  • Manage local marketing budget and evaluate campaign effectiveness and ROI
  • Strive for a deep customer behavioural knowledge & customer feedback
  • Leverage data and analytics, iterate (Be/Do agile, Test & Learn) for continuous improvement
  • Deploy GLocal Contents & Events (incl. localization, MLR, etc)
  • Deliver input to the Business planning and PSTA plan

  • Strong digital marketing, campaign performance & analytics capabilities
  • Ability to implement feedback loop marketing and translate data into actionable insights
  • Preferably relevant experience in similar role in rare diseases, hematology, or a specialty care environment
  • Experience with, or strong interest in, product launches
  • Experience from working in a multi country setting
  • Proficiency in CRM tools (Veeva, Salesforce) and digital engagement platforms

The salary range for this position is :€65 000,00 - €86 333

Final compensation will be determined based on demonstrated experience, skills, location, and other relevant factors. Employees may be eligible to participate in Company employee benefit programs.
