Job Description

Data Visualisation & Analytics Engineer

Job Purpose:

Enable data-driven decision-making through scalable and business-friendly Power BI dashboards and reports, translate business requirements into clear KPIs, metrics, and visual insights, drive adoption of analytics through strong data storytelling, usability, and reporting standards, and deliver trusted, performant, and governed visualization solutions aligned with business needs.

Responsibilities:

Data Visualization & Reporting

• Design, build, and maintain interactive dashboards and reports in Power BI.
• Create clear, intuitive, and impactful visualizations that communicate trends, risks, and opportunities.
• Optimize dashboards for usability, performance, and adoption using best practices in layout, navigation, and DAX.

Business Partnership & Storytelling

• Partner with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate business questions into reporting solutions.
• Define KPIs and metrics and present insights in a clear, actionable, and audience-appropriate way.
• Support users through training, adoption activities, and continuous dashboard improvement.

Data Integration, Governance & Standards

• Work with data from SQL, Databricks, SharePoint, Excel, and other enterprise sources.
• Use Power BI Dataflows, semantic models, and DirectQuery/Import approaches where appropriate.
• Ensure data quality, documentation, consistency, access control, and adherence to reporting standards.

Education and Experience :

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in data visualization, BI, analytics engineering, or similar roles.
• Strong hands-on experience with Power BI, including report development, semantic modeling, and dashboard optimization.
• Strong experience with DAX and solid working knowledge of SQL.
• Experience with Power BI Service, including workspaces, apps, sharing, and permissions.
• Experience with enterprise data sources such as Databricks, SharePoint, Excel, and relational databases.
• Experience in agile delivery and cross-functional collaboration; regulated industry experience is a plus.

Key Skills and Competencies :

• Strong expertise in Power BI, including data modeling, DAX, row-level security, and performance tuning.
• Strong understanding of visualization best practices, chart selection, dashboard usability, and data storytelling.
• Ability to translate business needs into scalable, user-friendly, and governed reporting solutions.
• Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving skills, and attention to data quality and accuracy.
• Effective communication and stakeholder management across technical and non-technical audiences.
• Collaborative, proactive, and service-oriented mindset in global teams.
• Microsoft Power BI, Fabric, or Data Analytics certification preferred.
