Mastercard's Global Consumer Products & Processing team is seeking a Manager, Data & Insights Strategy to help shape the future of our products and business decisions through data-driven insights. This role serves as a critical connector between Data Science, Market Intelligence, Product, and Business teams, transforming complex analytical findings into actionable strategies that drive growth, innovation, and competitive advantage.

As a trusted strategic partner, you will uncover opportunities, synthesize insights from multiple sources, and develop recommendations that influence product roadmaps, investment decisions, and business priorities. You will also play a key role in advancing reporting and analytics capabilities by leveraging automation and AI-driven solutions to improve scalability and decision-making effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Insights & Business Impact

Translate complex analytical models, data science outputs, and market intelligence into clear business narratives and actionable recommendations for senior stakeholders.

Identify emerging trends, market dynamics, customer behaviors, and competitive developments to uncover strategic opportunities and risks.

Partner with business and product leaders to define critical questions, frame strategic analyses, and support data-driven decision-making.

Develop insights that inform product strategy, growth initiatives, investment priorities, and performance improvement efforts.

Research & Market Intelligence

Lead market research and competitive intelligence initiatives to provide external context and identify emerging industry trends.

Synthesize quantitative data, market signals, and qualitative insights into cohesive perspectives that support strategic planning.

Monitor industry developments, competitive positioning, and innovation trends across payments, financial services, commerce, and technology ecosystems.

Analytics & Reporting Excellence

Define and evolve KPIs, measurement frameworks, and strategic reporting capabilities across product and business initiatives.

Drive the design and continuous improvement of executive dashboards, reporting solutions, and insight-generation processes.

Ensure the accuracy, consistency, and integrity of data, reporting outputs, and performance metrics.

Identify opportunities to streamline reporting and analytics processes through automation and scalable solutions.

AI & Innovation

Explore and champion the application of AI and advanced analytics capabilities to accelerate insight generation, improve reporting efficiency, and enhance decision-making.

Partner with analytics and technology teams to identify innovative approaches for extracting business value from data assets.

Help shape best practices for leveraging AI-enabled tools across reporting, analysis, and strategic insight development.

Stakeholder Leadership

Build strong partnerships with Product, Data Science, Finance and Business teams.

Influence stakeholders at multiple levels through data-backed recommendations, compelling storytelling, and executive-ready communications.

Lead multiple high-priority initiatives simultaneously, balancing competing priorities in a dynamic global environment.


About You

You are a strategic thinker who combines analytical rigor with strong business acumen and exceptional communication skills. You enjoy solving complex problems, connecting disparate information, and influencing decisions through evidence-based insights.

Qualifications & Experience

Experience in business strategy, analytics, insights, consulting, product strategy, market intelligence, or related fields.

Proven ability to translate complex analytical findings into clear recommendations and executive-level business narratives.

Experience conducting market research, competitive intelligence, and strategic analysis to support business decision-making.

Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills, with the ability to build credibility across cross-functional teams and senior leadership.

Demonstrated success managing multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced, global environment.

Excellent written, verbal, presentation, and data storytelling capabilities.

Strong problem-solving skills and intellectual curiosity, with a passion for uncovering insights that drive business value.

Comfortable navigating ambiguity and evolving business priorities while maintaining a results-oriented mindset.

Collaborative, proactive, and highly effective in matrixed organizations.
