As a member of the Genetic Sciences Division Sales Development team, you will design, develop and deliver technical sales learning programs to build technical and commercial capability and accelerate sales productivity across the division. Working closely with Business Units, Product Management, Marketing and regional stakeholders, you will translate complex scientific concepts into engaging learning experiences that support product launches, onboarding, and ongoing commercial excellence.
You will also adapt learning programs for Asia Pacific Japan (APJ) and Greater China, ensuring regional relevance while maintaining global consistency. Through instructional design, facilitation, curriculum management and learning analytics, you will improve sales readiness, accelerate onboarding, and enable high-performing customer-facing teams across the regions.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Commercial Capability Development
- Lead the design, development and continuous improvement of sales development programs in partnership with Business Units, Product Management, and Marketing to support onboarding, product launches, and commercial priorities.
- Drive the development strategy and adaptation of global learning programs for APJ and Greater China while maintaining global consistency.
- Collaborate with global and regional stakeholders to identify capability gaps and implement targeted learning programs that improve commercial effectiveness and sales readiness.
Learning Design & Delivery
- Design and deliver instructor-led, virtual, digital, and blended learning solutions using adult learning and instructional design best practices.
- Translate scientific concepts, products, workflows, and applications into engaging, customer-focused learning that incorporates practical sales methodologies and real-world customer scenarios.
- Lead the localisation of technical sales training for direct sales teams and channel partners across APJ and Greater China, recognising the region’s diverse cultural, linguistic, and commercial needs.
Digital Learning & AI
- Manage and continuously improve digital learning content and curricula within the Docebo Learning Management System (LMS).
- Analyse and report learner engagement, training completion, and assessment results using LMS reporting, Power BI or similar business intelligence tools.
- Leverage AI-enabled learning technologies, content authoring tools, and digital platforms to develop scalable, engaging commercial learning solutions.
- Evaluate emerging learning technologies and best practices to enhance learner experience and program effectiveness.
Stakeholder Partnership & Project Leadership
- Establish trusted partnerships across Business Units, Product Management, Marketing and Commercial teams to deliver aligned, high-quality learning solutions.
- Partner with global learning teams to align curriculum, share best practices and ensure consistent messaging across commercial development programs.
- Manage multiple concurrent learning and sales development projects, balancing priorities, timelines and stakeholder expectations in a fast-paced, matrixed environment.
REQUIREMENTS
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Molecular Biology, Genetics, Biotechnology or a related scientific discipline required; postgraduate qualifications are advantageous.
Experience
- 8+ years of experience in life sciences, diagnostics, genetics, or biotechnology industries.
- Experience in sales, field applications, technical sales, customer training or commercial enablement required.
- Experience designing and facilitating engaging learning experiences in both virtual and face-to-face environments.
- Previous experience in a dedicated learning and development, sales development, customer training, or instructional design role is highly desirable.
Knowledge, Skills & Competencies
- Strong knowledge of molecular biology and genomics workflows with the ability to translate complex scientific concepts into customer-focused commercial messaging.
- Commercial mindset with an understanding of sales processes, customer engagement, and value-based selling.
- Proficiency in administering learning content within an LMS is preferred.
- Proficiency in digital learning development tools such as Articulate 360, Camtasia, Microsoft PowerPoint, and Adobe Creative Suite.
- Demonstrated ability to apply AI-enabled learning technologies and digital content development tools to enhance learner engagement and training effectiveness.
- Knowledge of using Microsoft Power BI or similar tools to analyse learning metrics and communicate actionable insights.
- Excellent project management and organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to use learning data to improve commercial capability.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently across cultures and time zones as part of a global team.
- Demonstrated ability to influence and lead without direct authority across matrixed teams and initiatives.
- Excellent written, presentation and facilitation skills.
Travel
- International travel up to approximately 10% may be required.
