The Global Trading business executes trades on behalf of all portfolio management teams at the firm. Your team

The Equity Trading team is part of BlackRock's Global Trading Group and is responsible for executing equity orders on behalf of internal clients. 

Your role and impact

This role will be based in Mexico City supporting multiple internal investment teams, including Fundamental Active Equities, and Multi-Asset Strategies and Solutions. Our traders have a critical role in relation to alpha generation and cost minimization for scientific, fundamental and active products. They partner with portfolio managers to optimize returns through a variety of trade types. Traders represent the firm for a selective group of markets or asset classes, are the primary owner of BlackRock’s interface with top tier prime brokerage firms and counterparties and offer the premier securities finance product in the market today.

Your responsibilities

• Seek to provide Best Execution across equity products including ETFs and single stock names
• Manage equity orders in a risk-controlled manner as a fiduciary
• Monitor market activity in areas of specialization and provide feedback to portfolio managers and internal partner groups
• Support investment teams with market color, information flow, and data analysis requests
• Participate in day-to-day tasks in support of trading activities and liaise with trading operations
• Working with Aladdin Engineering Team and other areas, on systems development and automation

• Strong team player with the ability to build effective partnerships across investment teams, trading, operations, and technology.

 

You have

• BA or equivalent experience in Finance or a related field
• 2-4 years of relevant equity investment and/or trading experience
• AMIB Figure 3 required
• Strong understanding of liquidity and microstructure for equity markets

• Python, SQL, Power BI, data visualization tools, and automation frameworks.

• Analytical and creative approach to solving complex problems
• Ability to articulate and translate data and ideas into audience-appropriate communication
• Self-motivated, enthusiastic, and approaches new challenges with a positive attitude
