Equities Sales and Execution Business Execution (VP)

Working as part of the regional Equity Business Execution team, this role supports Equity Sales and Execution in including Prime, Futures, Derivative & Clearing Sales and Agency Execution Services to ensure successful delivery of strategic initiatives, compliance with regulations associated with each market, as well as a strong governance and control framework maintained.

As such this role not only requires an understanding of the Equity business, but also regulatory and control knowledge to identify and mitigate risks for the business by working with support functions such as Legal, Risk, Finance, Operations, Technology and Compliance.

 

Responsibilities:

 

• Work with regional Equity Sales Heads (Prime, Futures, Derivative & Clearing Sales and Cash Execution) and the country Equity Heads to (1) review analytics on client wallet gaps along with mitigating proposal to narrow the gaps; (2) drive other strategic initiatives related to people, capital, compliance, and coordinate across product groups, regions, sectors, functional partners
• Drive control improvement projects and impact assessment in relation to regulatory change and commitments.
• Lead and coordinate the implementation of New Product capabilities from planning to execution.
• Work with front to back partners to streamline processes, technology, and build consistent policies and procedures.
• Drive efficiency / productivity/ cost savings initiatives in partnership with the senior management team and other functional partners.
• Review and enhance existing processes and ensure the development of new controls are comprehensive and business appropriate.
• Investigate issues, perform root cause analysis of operational risk events, and ensure delivery of remediation actions / Corrective Action Plans.

 

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in COO/ Business Execution/Business Management roles, preferably experience in working with Equities Sales and Trading desks. Relevant support function experience also considered.
• Strong front to back understanding of trades and booking flows.
• Proven experience successfully driving day-to-day execution and strategic projects across a large matrixed organization.
• Attention to detail, strong problem solving, execution and communication skills, both written and verbal
• Highly self driven, ability to independently own work and operate with a limited level of direct supervision.
• Experience in escalating, managing, and reporting control issues with transparency.
• Excel and PowerPoint expertise, data analytic knowledge (eg Tableau, PowerBI) a plus.
• Ability to develop and maintain effective work relationships, and work as a team player.
