Custody Transaction Processing Specialist

Custody Transaction Management Department is currently looking to fill a specialist role in Transaction Reconciliation team that will be tasked with supporting Settlement team with Transaction Reconciliation. Embarking on this journey, you will be responsible for trade reconciliation, assets and cash reconciliation, supporting internal stakeholders for settlement and recon related queries. With time you become subject matter expert and will get more complexed and responsible tasks.

Citi Custody is responsible for the safekeeping and servicing of equity assets of our clients. Being a custodian bank, we facilitate the settlement process of our client’s securities transactions, manage and process corporate actions as announced by the issuers of these securities, and assist our clients with capital gains tax payment and reclamation. Transaction Management Department is at the forefront of our Custody service, as it ensures that the clients’ settlement instructions are appropriately received and screened against sanctions lists, which in turn allows them to settle in the market that we will promptly reflect on the clients’ accounts. Citi Global Custody owns and manages its own Network and provides asset servicing and transactions function primarily to intermediaries such as Broker Dealers, Banks, and other global investors.

Your key responsibilities:

• Monitoring and reconciliation of asset and cash related to Custody Transactions.
• Daily contact with internal stakeholders to resolve reconciliation discrepancies.
• Escalating aged asset and cash reconciliation discrepancies to management team.
• Aligning with Risk and Controls procedures for daily activities.
• Daily contact and support for internal client support teams
• Cooperation with the team located across the globe (team in EMEA, APAC)
• Building safe environment to test new solutions and encourage outside the box thinking
• Business travels possible

Requirements:

• 1+ years of experience in Transaction Reconciliation/Transaction Management/ Settlement/ Custody/ Asset Servicing field
• SWIFT system knowledge will be an advantage (mainly 54x type)
• Fluency in English
• Computer literacy
• Ability to organize work efficiently and meet deadlines
• Strong creativity, innovation and problem solving skills
• Willingness to develop and learn fast
