The App Store Marketing team is seeking an experienced leader to define and drive the strategic vision for App Store developer communications and B2B marketing. The Manager, WW App Store Developer Marketing will accelerate growth by building and scaling two complementary functions—App Store B2B Marketing and Developer Partner Marketing—crafting the narrative that communicates the value of the App Store to developers, and developing co-marketing strategies with developer partners. To excel in this role, you must be a passionate champion for developer success, a strategic thinker, and an exceptional problem solver with a deep understanding of the mobile app ecosystem and a proven track record building impactful B2B and partner marketing programs.

Description

As the Manager of our WW App Store Developer Marketing team, you will lead a high-impact function that delivers value to developers and the App Store business through strategic communications and developer partner programs.

Responsibilities

Lead the strategy, execution, and optimization of global developer marketing and communications programs across two functions: App Store B2B Marketing and Developer Partner Marketing.
Stand up and scale the App Store B2B Marketing function—define the vision, operating model, process, and hiring plan; establish a high-performing team.
Serve as the voice of the developer within App Store Marketing; develop audience segmentation, personas, and messaging frameworks that clearly articulate the App Store’s value.
Build and standardize co-marketing strategies with developer partners, leading a team of Partner Marketers responsible for crafting plans and forming strong relationships with developers
Streamline and coordinate developer communications across touchpoints; centralize calendars, playbooks, and guardrails to ensure clarity, consistency, and efficiency.
Partner closely with Product, WW Developer Relations, Business Management, Analytics, and Regional Marketing to align on roadmaps, GTM plans, and campaigns.
Define KPIs and performance measurement frameworks; apply test-and-learn approaches to optimize programs based on data-driven insights.
Develop content and proof points tailored to developer segments (e.g., value narratives, case studies, creative campaign assets, etc.)
Identify new opportunities and channels to reach developers where they are; evolve the developer journey and propose new levers alongside existing owned channels.
Manage resourcing, budgets, and external partners as needed.
Present program results and business impact to senior leadership.

Minimum Qualifications

10+ years of marketing experience with a focus on B2B and/or developer audience marketing; 3+ years leading teams
Deep knowledge of the mobile app and developer ecosystem, including monetization strategies and subscription models.
Proven success originating and delivering developer/B2B marketing programs end-to-end—from strategy and messaging to execution and measurement.
Demonstrated experience building co-marketing plans with partners and managing high‑stakeholder, relationship-driven programs.
Strong ability to influence and align stakeholders across Marketing, Product, and Business teams; thrives in collaborative environments and navigates ambiguity with ease.
Expertise in audience segmentation, positioning, and lifecycle communications for technical and non-technical audiences.
Strong analytical skills with experience defining KPIs, measuring impact, and optimizing based on insights
Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex ideas clearly and persuasively.

Preferred Qualifications

Strategic thinker and problem solver who translates business goals and product roadmaps into actionable, impactful programs.
Experience using or implementing marketing technology, automation, analytics tools, and AI tools to to streamline operations and improve outcomes.
Familiarity with developer tools, platforms, and communities; ability to translate technical concepts into benefit-driven messaging.
Experience operating globally, adapting programs to regional nuances in partnership with local teams.
Comfortable building from scratch—establishing first-ever strategies, processes, GTM plans, and measurement frameworks.
Understanding of the mobile payments ecosystem and its impact on app marketing strategies.

Pay & Benefits — Culver City, California, United States

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $185,600 and $279,300, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs.
